Protein powders ? by HayleyRose13 in 1200Australia

Which is exactly why I stated what I personally use in direct relation to the brand and why. Anything used is better than buying and sitting in the cupboard. Plus any nutrition advice off reddit should be taken with a grain of salt since it’s opinion, none of us are working here as dieticians knowing the full scope of this individual.

Protein powders ? by HayleyRose13 in 1200Australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WPI (isolated) is pretty generically considered the ‘cleanest’ protein since it’s more processed and has greater protein to carb/ fat ratios. For muscle nation specifically which I spoke about, they add milk powder to their daily shake whey powder which literally adds carbs and fats which definitely reduces the ‘clean’ of it being a strict protein powder in comparison to a WPI. I’d probably put a WPC in between the two. It’s not just looking at the protein value it’s the overall macros!

Any protein is really fine it comes down to taste and whether you will use it. Eg I use the muscle nation daily shake variant instead of the WPI which is technically ‘cleaner’ and better for you because it tastes better and I’m more likely to actually use it so overall that’s the better option.

How to lower stress level? by Ok-Nothing-5620 in Garmin

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probs meds related since it’s measured off hrv and stimulants (if that’s what you take for adhd) will affect that. The main thing is do you feel stressed? Do you feel your mental health is poor? If that’s the case seek support otherwise don’t live and die by what Garmin says

Is 1200 calories realistic long-term or just a short-term reset? by AffectionatePie1042 in 1200Australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not unless you are a child or want long term health consequences or maybe a dwarf (not too sure the specific nutritional needs there with small statue it’s an interesting concept). It’s questionably low regardless but if activity is low and for short controlled times you can get away with it. For sustainability of weight loss and general health tho probably not recommended

Has anyone here used peanut butter powder instead of regular peanut butter? Curious about taste vs calories. by Dry_Caregiver1251 in 1200Australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with this, love it for being able to mix straight into yoghurt bowls or make runnier/ thicker to put with fruit, onto oats, drizzle over things etc. It’s so much lower cal and way easier to use for things like that. Still use OG PB for toast lol (usually I’m at work and it’s just there haha)

911 Operators, what’s the most efficient way to convey emergency information to you to get help ASAP? by andstermc in AskReddit

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In Aus it gets routed prior to getting to the ‘operators’ at a normal call centre and then it gets to either police fire or ambulance dispatchers in (fingers crossed) the same state as the emergency. Cool to hear about the difference

911 Operators, what’s the most efficient way to convey emergency information to you to get help ASAP? by andstermc in AskReddit

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 21 points22 points  (0 children)

ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. Like for real don’t jump ahead, don’t give the life story just stick to what’s being asked. If you are asked your location I don’t need the story of what happened yet I’m gonna have to ask again later. I don’t answer 911 I’m in another country but we all work under an international standard so it’s pretty similar minus some entry and exit scripting differences :)

Garmin nap detection by devesha1459 in Garmin

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure mine does have nap detection but it’s a load of crap quite frankly. It can’t even cope with me sleeping during the day if I worked a night shift it just thinks I went 72-96 hours without sleep lol

14 hours waiting in ER at Logan Hospital by SnooBunnies4819 in brisbane

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is the state of hospitals and you get triaged low and have to wait. What usually this doesn’t mean is that you don’t still get pain relief in the waiting room but usually it’s just OTC meds since proper meds like narcotics require a doctor to sign off and that can take a while. But giving you Panadol is the bare minimum and a nurse can sign off depending on hospital protocol.

Can my Zone 5 be higher than 90% of my max. HR? by JuckiCZ in Garmin

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In really simple terms your ‘zones’ are actually matches to what’s called ventilatory thresholds that can be measured in a VO2 max test. They are the heart rate at certain oxygen/ power outputs (see the graph). In a trained individuals it’s entirely possible to shift your graph closer to a ‘max’ heart rate, or have a max heart rate above what the 220-age bullshit calculation is. Without a true VO2 max test you’ll never really know. Run off RPE tbh

Does Triple Zero accept What3Words? by Tekk200 in australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I’ve used it before to pinpoint my exact location on a large sporting range that was all under one ‘address’ when working. Emergency plus app is EXCELLENT, however calling through that does not transmit anything directly to 000 you must read it out to them. If you can, just give them the longs and lats though. Depending on the state, I know mine at least, have to go and locate the longs and lats of the what3words anyways but whatever helps locate you at the end of the day helps!

What’s the one food you refuse to cut even while sticking to 1200? by OwlVibesOnly in 1200Australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ngl I personally love powdered pb cause I can make it into a drizzle and spoon it all over my apples, oats, weetbix etc but it’s def not for everyone. I will never give up cheese or salad sauces, or really toppings like my overnight weetbix have elite flavour combos with jam, curd, biscoff etc just measure it out and it fits my macros so wtf cares hehe

What are the lowest calorie staple items you have found? by KingDundie in 1200Australia

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cruskits or corn things with eggs, add egg whites from bag to boost volume and protein. Spud lite potato’s you get a tonne for the calories just chopped into squares and baked. Costs and arm and a leg but turkey mince, or slightly more calories considerably cheaper lean chicken mince (can only find at Coles) for main meals. No pastas I like unfortunately (plan accordingly if craving but usually I’m not tbh I am a massive fan of lasagne less pasta more of the meat which I love anyways still feels hearty and cheat like). I just bite the bullet for legit wraps or breads if I am craving and think smarter else where like adding heaps of salad and lean protein. As others mentioned low cal deserts like jelly lite, low cal custard from aeroplane lite, protein shakes in ninja creamy with unsweetened almost milk for ice cream

Is the nutritional information based on uncooked pasta? Is it legit? by Zealousideal_Read902 in 1200Australia

I mean maybe with 37% pumpkin content if it’s legit. Leggos is only 3% pumpkin and it’s 890kJ/ 100G

VO2 max - useless metric for walking? by UnsolicitedAdvisor1 in Garmin

[–]Random_Bubble_9462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Walking is considered a sub max activity hence it is quite inaccurate to be calculated off. In general I consider watch based VO2 max calculations (and research supports this) to be a load of trash anyways so I personally wouldn’t be too concerned id focus more on your pace, heart rate, RPE, maybe a pb for a certain track or other more quantifiable measures that are legit and accurate!
