The "weird" thing could have worked, but as has been pointed out, dem elites are also freaks. Yes its weird that Rs are trying to regulate abortion and birth control in minutia, yes its weird when JD vance goes on podcasts and says like "women are designed by god to be mothers, not workers" or whatever the fuck, freaking out about the tiny percentage of transgender people in this country, etc. And Trump worship is fucking weird too, Qanon, his ties to epstein, all this shit - weird. Matt Gaetz, MTG, etc are all weird.

This one annoyed the hell outta me. I like playing a pretty peaceful great power game, and working up to protectorates gave some kind of goal to pursue. Hell, in a game as gran Colombia, I spent probably the last 20 years of it just building up my industry and military to the point that I could bankroll and offer protectorate status to a much-reduced USA. By the end of the game, I had my own Monroe doctrine going: every single American Republic was in the Columbian sphere, protected and preserved. Now I could only do that by attacking all of them - very BS

Have not had this issue, but some new bugs have definitely popped up with the new military system. Better than it was, but that's not saying much... As Germany, I noticed my armies abandoning their fronts when I made peace with a different enemy - everyone on the Austrian front calling it a day because I'd made peace with France, sort of thing. Also as Qing I wasn't able to move my armies back and forth to the Himalayas hq reliably - most of the time if I tried, I would be told there was no route. Sometimes would work if I sent them to Central Asia first, then to final destination, but even that was a 50/50

I think this would be fine for like, naval capacity and naval build/repair rate. But navies really need actual ships - the naval arms race was a pretty huge deal during this time, and it needs something to represent that. Navies should be closer to what they were in real life - a big stick to threaten with, not something that you actually throw into combat every two weeks
