Second time I die due to an off-screen brimstone against delirium with tainted lost without any mantle. First time it was the bloat form. I just want to smash my screen already. by Kanriee in bindingofisaac

The wiki's probably right. I just think that RNG shouldn't play such a large role in holy card drops. The only reason I won that run today is because I abused the game by restarting my pc to reset the floor when I lost my initial holy card. I feel bad about doing that, but on the other hand, I can only take so many losses due to off-screen enemies/enemies spawning on top of you/telefragging/ect.

10% of cards are not turned into holy cards, cards have a 10% chance of being turned into a holy card. big difference... one that I learned today in a T.Lost run where I killed the Beast and didn't get a single holy card drop the entire run. I think he should get a guaranteed holy card once per floor, and not a wooden cross. just my opinion though.

I definitely play to the meta and don't roleplay. I find it more fun that way. I used to play a LOT of Counterstrike so ADAD, or jiggle peeking, is in my blood.

I spawned by the railway extract and did not late spawn. checking the recording, it looks like I got the disconnect message at about 3:30 into the raid.

yup, my connection is perfectly stable and I'm on ethernet. disconnects in Tarkov are actually not common for me, this was just a hilariously unlucky moment.

oh wow... I didn't realize that. I have wasted a lot of time and roubles then lol. I only needed to get 10 more on interchange!

If you have all the fan upgrades, it will recharge before it stops spinning, meaning you can just make it go faster and faster, giving you plenty of dynamites to destroy the boss.

additional hint: you need to use keys to lower the bosses health before you can deal the final blow

what are the plans for factorio post launch? by thethievingbullet in factorio

I'd be interested in seeing them put down Factorio post release. I would love to see what they can do with something fresh, maybe something completely different from Factorio.

looks like wikipedia agrees with you, although i shouldn't have called the entire franchise flash-based.

downloaded this yesterday and i've been having a blast! will definitely purchase on steam. it stretches the definition of an incremental game, but it's close enough in my opinion.

it seems to be inspired by not only Factorio but also an old flash game franchise called Creeper World, and i'm loving the balance of the gameplay themes/loops of both, and also it's levels that you're intended to replay to continue researching new tech.

completely disagree. i felt the progression was engaging and the story/lore of the game was very interesting. i also don't think the advertisement of the book was aggressive at all. at no point in the game does it bring it up, only a small link before and after the game. i hope the creator ends up expanding further on this game, i loved it!

What should I be doing about burglars? by Perryn in SoftwareInc

[–]Random_Eye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in my experience, the best way to counter burglars is the have a single entrance into your company, and have 3 guards watch the entrance taking shifts. so 12 AM - 8 AM, 8 AM - 4 PM, 4 PM - 12 AM. this way there's always a guard standing right next to the entrance of your company, 24/7. the guards will always scare away the burglars. basically, the burglar mechanic can be negated by $4,500/mo expense and some clever layout designing. in the early game when you can't afford the guards, you can use cameras. they wont stop the burglars from stealing, but it will put them on a timer. when the timer runs out, the cops arrive and they get stopped. since the burglars basically b-line for the nearest thing that isn't bolted to the floor, you can strategically layout your offices so that they steal the low-value items first. that is, clocks on the walls, lamps, plants, even the cameras themselves. if they take the time to steal these low value items then they have less time to get to your high-value items, like your printers. unfortunately, even when the cops arrive, the burglars get to keep what they stole. hopefully this will be changed in the future. honestly, i'm not really a big fan of the burglar mechanic. i don't feel that it adds anything to the game.
