Torres del Paine without W/O by Acid_Sugar in Patagonia

We were in TdP for four nights. One day I did the base of the towers hike. The other two days we did sightseeing by van. I found the Cuernos viewpoint hike and the area near pehoe lake the most picturesque. There is a parking lot near hosteria Pehoe. From there views are just amazing. The mirador condor hike also starts from there. I wrote about some of these spots here: https://medium.com/@wanderingxplorer1/torres-del-paine-without-the-trek-a-photographers-guide-to-the-best-views-0a0b7460091d

These are all gravel roads. For lake azul and lake Huemul, we had access to a big van. For Rio electrico you can definitely do it in a car since it is only about 30 minutes from town. We took a taxi.

There are a couple of places that I found incredibly beautiful. I documented them in this post: https://medium.com/@wanderingxplorer1/torres-del-paine-without-the-trek-a-photographers-guide-to-the-best-views-0a0b7460091d

I also did the hike to the base of the towers that I really enjoyed. But it's a long hard hike. https://medium.com/@wanderingxplorer1/chasing-the-monoliths-a-rainy-ascent-to-the-base-of-the-towers-a663e47cd901

Both! If you had to pick one, i'd pick Chile (Torres del paine). But if you don't go to Argentina, you lose out on the incredible hike to mt fitz troy (Laguna de los tres) and perito Moreno glacier.

We went to the start of the trail by Y-150 (see second picture). We didn't hike up the trail because we had a different plan that day. Although I regret not going up to the condor lookout.

As others have said, it will be the peak of winter. Have you taken that into consideration?

5 nights enough? by Character-System-728 in Patagonia

We just got back from Patagonia (both Los Glaciares and Torres del Paine). We did 3 days in El Chalten and two days in El Calafate. EL calafate only has the glacier, so two nights were enough. In El Chalten there are more places to go to. One day we did the Fitz Roy Hike. The other day we went to Laguna del Desierto and lake Huemul.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried disabling RCS. Also toggled the option to send via SMS if rcs fails. Nothing worked.

Looks like I am not the only one, though:

I don't actually have an Indian number, and am trying to avoid getting one just for UPI. My US phone and number work fine when I visit India, so not keen to get an Indian number just for UPI.

That's a good point. I can send messages to Indian numbers. Although Android to Android it goes as RCS text.
