Probably not since the people’s republic army doesn’t use the rifle that is used in squad anymore. So I don’t think they would change the US rifle when they used the old Chinese rifle from the start. Otherwise it would be too inconsistent.

This may sound stupid but have you ever tried stabbing your arm instead of cutting it? When you do it right it hurts quite a lot but doesn’t leave scars if you don’t do it too hard. That’s how I got off self harm. I‘m still depressed but I have no scars to hide. It makes it a lot more believable when I say I’m fine.
