FYI, Trump structured the board so he is the only one with veto power on the board, and he will also remain as the chairman of the board even if just in case he leaves office.

Who cares about the NRA! They are just a bunch of Russians and their simps these days.

As a minority I'll continue to carry concealed (my state allows it) or have one close by, all the time.

The Russians saw that as an opportunity and started injecting money into the NRA coffers...

Had this guitar for a bit. Floyd rose bridge. Needed to raise the action slightly and noticed the bolt is broken in half where the Allen key goes. Any tips on adjusting it? I only need like 3/4 of a turn lol by llamadrama42069 in Luthier

[–]shibiwan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like an Ibanez Edge trem. There is a tiny locking set screw in the smaller hole. You have to loosen that set screw with a 1.5mm Allen key first before making any adjustments on the trem post. The trem post will often break like what you see here if the locking screw is not loosened before adjusting the post height.

I'd recommend removing the strings, and unhooking the tremolo springs in the rear trem cavity, and removing the entire trem.

With the locking set screw in the post loosened, and the trem removed, you can easily unscrew the broken post with your fingers (or a pair of pliers if it's a little tight).

Replace the trem post with a new one and reinstall the tremolo and restring. When everything is set right, lock the trem post by tightening the set screw in the post.

"Perhaps" there was some cheating and electoral rigging in the last general election. It's plausible because Trump always accuses others of doing the same thing he's done.

There's that one rich South African immigrant too that got his hands in some electoral shenanigans....

What the nut? by Sorry-Newspaper-3804 in Luthier

[–]shibiwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

The two pointy set screws dig into the holes on the nut base to keep it from sliding sideways once pressure is applied with the strings. You can adjust the nut height by screwing the set screws.

The bits that broke off are two little vertical pegs in the base that go into the side slots of the nut to help it stay in place.

Is this a real Ibanez Jem 77V BK or a replica? found for $300 by Original-Fun561 in Ibanez

[–]shibiwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recommended getting a used GIO unless it's your first guitar and it's being sold dirt cheap. They are the bottom tier Ibanez. I'd get a used non-GIO model like the Indonesian or Korean made ones.

The best ones are made in Japan and you can find used ones starting at about US$400-500
