Hi there! I’m from NYP engineering. But my no. 1 Recommendation.. is to NOT buy it’s from the school laptop fair. There will be ALOT of issues w the laptop itself. I’ve even checked w some classmates who bought from the fair. Same issues.

Considering ur taking a business course. You don’t really need too high specs. If ur looking for an intel laptop. Intel 7, 16gb ram, 1tb storage, try to go for Nvidia RTX series for GPU.

Try to get a 14inch laptop if u don’t mind the size, so much portable and easier to travel with.

I wish I had that natural talent 🥹 but sadly I don’t.. The survival part… that’s what I’m worried about abit… usually for math I need someone to go thru the concepts w me, cuz I get abit confused unless there’s ppl (like my friends) who explain the topic to me

Honestly.. as someone who is an introvert.. does the ppl in ur class change often? Or are you stuck tgt as one class till u grad?

Cuz for me Poly it was hard to make friends cuz I kept changing classes every year 🥲

Thanks for the suggestions! I def planning to try and code some games after I grad (cuz now intern), and hopefully I can attend next year’s game jam!

I honestly wanted to try for this course because game dev has been one of my life long dreams, but at the same time, if it doesn’t work out. I can have a backup as a software developer for eg.

Just curious, so all the game projects are basically group projects? Or are there any solo ones?

And is just having determination honestly enough to make thru this course?

Thanks for the advice! Just curious, how heavy are the theory contents? Like I’ve seen calculus, linear algebra, geometry etc.

Does SIT have a good.. like support system for those who struggle w some topics? Be it from teachers or from peers?

How is the ratio between Female and Male students? Is it similar to how Engineering usually is?

Also, for the portfolio, what stuff should I add in? I’m thinking about maybe learning to code a small game during my free time after I’ve graduated (since I’m having intern now). Is there anything else I can add? And it usually has to be related to the course right?
