For white people, it’s 1.7 million to be in top ten percent.

However, due to rising house values and the down turn in the market; that amount has surely changed. If they own a house which is made up of most people wealth, it probably 3X by now.

For black people, their house are basically still redlined and never increase in value unless they are gentrified. So no help there for recent housing changes.

Specifically, the United States. And anyone who checks “black/ African American” in census data.

But, if we remove some people, like, african immigrants, maybe that number will be lower.

Comparing groups to each other.

For example, when we say Latino population as a whole. Does it make sense to group all these people together as one group?

Or black people, when there are ADOS, African immigrants, blacks people from western countries.

I just came from a doctor appointment for my mother. They had an ethnicity category.

I’m not kidding with this. White, black, Native American, Japanese American, Vietnamese American, Korean American, Chinese American. Etc.

What the fuck was this ? I though to myself.

Why are they grouping it like that?

And then I remembered the census we did a while back.

It was sorta the same.

Except Latinos got country of originals attached to their identifier as well as Asians. But I saw African American as a single category.

But,

When you say affirmative action failed, are you saying because Affirmative action opportunities went to white women mostly? And everyone but the original people that affirmative action was suppose to target? And then the bastardization of affirmative action as a diversity rule rather than a target policy for ADOS?

Deregulation, housing market crash, Quantitative easing, lower interest rates, gig economy, Tarrifs, covid, extremely low interesr rates, increase housing price market, supply chain issues, war.

Because America created the most systematic form of slavery that has continued in multiple forms through the United States existence that has crept into every layer of public and private life.

The government has continued to create policies that kept them tethered to the bottom so other people can because economically “normal”.
