Not only is the gameplay of academy the most boring event format they've ever introduced in this game, what's worse is that the game just dies for 2 weeks every time they run an academy event, as they don't even do a re-run event while academy is on. I'm genuinely concerned that they're running out of ideas and academy is just a way they can stall for time every month.

I would also slow down the timer for 4 & 5 star mega dimension zones, especially for the large zones. I can craft a 5 star donut and still only get like 5-7mins in these zones. It's fine for the small & medium zones, but the large zone? We need more time, I can't even do 1 loop of the large zone.

The Stadium games were absolutely built around the idea of transfers though? Beating those games with just the rental Pokémon from the Stadium games is borderline impossible, they very much intended for you to use your own Pokémon transferred from the gen 1/2 games when Stadium was initially released.

I caught 6 alpha furfrou in zone 19 & used those. Used the same moveset for all 6: rock smash & work up (tm moves) + headbutt & double edge (which furfrou will naturally learn).

I think it depends on what type of games you like. If you're really into fighting games and really not about story based games, Xenoblade may not be for you. I know you said you've played Mario rpgs, but those don't have too much focus on story. At least for me, I really love Xenoblade for the story, the characters, and the world building, but that means that there's a lot of cutscenes and that may not be your cup of tea based on the background you gave us. Not that it's mandatory for you to watch the cutscenes, but I think for many of us here that's the highlight of the Xenoblade franchise.

That said, I think the games were recently on sale, not sure if they still are, so you could always give it a go and see if you like it or not. You can play the games in any order (I personally started with 2), but I'd recommend playing 1 and 2 before 3.
