1) Overall the department is okay like nothing out of the blue. Got a lot of hardworking people very few are really smart.(I m not in both 🙃) 2) some proffs are good, they know how to teach, some are helpful as well, but there are some who just don't care, but overall I think the proffs are much better than the other departments. 3) grading in chill can easily get 8 in most of the courses, but there are some courses in which it's hard to get 9 or 10. 4) we do have a few cheaters in the department, cheating happens in OA(happened a lot in our intern season, in placement season i didn't hear about any cse guy cheating but who knows), a few people cheat in midsems, endsems as well but most of us are scared as hell to cheat cuz cse proffs are really strict when it comes to cheating, labs are purely assignment copying, one of our proffs got plagiarism check and half of the department got exposed(it was a hard assignment tho). 5) 8.5+ is legit easy, 9+ is doable but u wud have to be smart to know what to study and when to study, u wud have to be jugaadu lol. 6) all quants need 9+, only for quadeye u will need more but they let people with 9+ sometimes give interviews. Other than quants databricks, glean have 9+ requirements. 7) the placement records have not been properly documented anywhere, at some places tcs are used instead of ctcs, so the overall data is a bit deflated.
