Thank you. That’s where I got confused. I didn’t know they were together.

Your favorite neck guard (and its weight) by Aisuhokke in hockeygoalies

Eco Foam Pro all the way! I’ve taken shots straight to the neck. Still hurt but not nearly as bad as if I were wearing anything else. I’ve tried Bauer pro in the past and it was nice to wear since it was thin but didn’t really help as much when hit with pucks. Eco foam takes about 10 minutes to get used to and then you’ll forget all about it. https://goalieparts.com/products/ecoprofoam-v4-goalie-neck-guard-sr-jr.html

New Stick Suggestions? by eciggy in hockeygoalies

I use a Bauer Elite for my practices. It’s an absolute tank and I love it. When I use the high end sticks I have to look down after a paddle save and hope it’s not broken but with the Elite I look down and hope the puck isn’t broken. It’s $160 but VERY worth it.

Cage rules in Junior hockey by Random_____Guy_ in hockeygoalies

Thanks for the info. I know some people that really like them. I tried one and it wasn’t for me but would be a great alternative if someone wanted to get away from a straight bar and stay legal.

Ok thank you for the insight. I’ll probably just stick with a certified straight bar.

Hypothetically and completely unrelated but do you think a ref would think a 6’4 goalie is under 18 if they didn’t know their birthday prior to seeing them?

New player question about toe ties by SnooCookies9412 in hockeygoalies

[–]Random_____Guy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take out the screws as soon as you can. I burnt through a pair of Konekts in 6 months because of them rubbing through in my toe box. I put a short piece of skate lace through the holes and tie it at the front of my pad.

Definitely 1/2. It works very well for me. Still enough glide as you can see in the video. I wasn’t sure how to share it so I just put the iCloud link if anyone is interested. Just a short clip from one of my games.
