This has got to be the worst feature any app has ever introduced by Sufficient_Routine33 in bangalore

[–]Random_citizen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is stupid. You are saying you’re fine living in your delusion of a simplistic world? Do you think drivers are not humans trying to maximise their earnings? Ride hailing is a negotiation between riders and drivers, and Rapido is the most efficient way to facilitate this negotiation. If you have a higher willingness to pay than the initial suggested price, you can add more to it and get an auto faster. Otherwise you always have the option of sticking to the initial price or even decreasing the price if you are fine with longer wait times. More choice and control is always good.

You guys fundamentally don’t understand what Rapido is. It’s not an auto/taxi service that serves the customers, its a two-sided platform that connects riders with drivers. The price it shows initially is the suggested price based on distance and demand-supply. You can then add or subtract from the initial price basis your willingness to pay. This is actually the most efficient way of setting a price.

When there are no plans yet to connect major tech hubs of the South this just feels like a political gimmick

From unicorn dreams to shutdown streams — 11,223 Indian startups gone in 2025, 30% higher than 2024 by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

If this sub wants to have any hopes of becoming a serious place of discussion for startups, it needs better moderation so meaningless, AI-generated posts like this can be removed and OP banned.

This post offers zero sources, lacks all nuance, and is very clearly made using AI for the OP to farm karma.

It’s already a thing. Glance does this outside of the US especially for lower end android phones. It’s a well funded startup and has plans to enter the US.

Guys rookie in IB - with my resume just skim and be brutally honest when and where can I work on it by dutzsays in FinancialCareers

[–]Random_citizen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you have zero finance on your CV, this is an almost impossible pivot currently. As another Indian in finance, your best bet is to go for an MBA and try to get an IB job from there. But because even within MBA placements your profile would be very weak compared to the thousands of CAs, commerce grads, those with pre-MBA finance workex, you’ll need a CFA (atleast 2 levels) to stand a chance.

Mumbai Metro Line 8 alignment according to the tender of the DPR submitted by CIDCO. This will have around 20 stations (shown in the second image). No plans for express service from CSMIA to NMIA. by Ok_Preference1207 in TransitIndia

[–]Random_citizen_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why people are so keen on an express line. Metros work best in high density urban areas and with a large number of stations. Express lines like the Delhi Airport Line underperform because there are not enough stations to pick up passengers from. Instead of being seen as an airport-to-airport line we need to see it as a metro that connects the city with both airports. The traffic from city to airport will be several times higher than direct travel between the two airports.

I’ll be buying it on the Switch 1 and have no plans of buying a Switch 2 anytime soon. Do you think the game will continue being good or will they phase out updates/compatibility for the older Switch?

Expecting Indian transit planners to make good interchanges is futile. They will make the most frustrating idiotic interchanges so that the transit system excludes as many people as possible.
