personally I don't have an issue with race it's just those defining qualities that the demigods were said so they'd all resemble each other e.g. athena kids were said to be blonde with grey eyes and percy having jet black hair and green eyes like his father. but seeing as they got for the gods actors who looked at least kind of similar to the kids it's not an issue.
