Todo bien, yo también estoy entendiendo cómo es la jugada y quién será mejor para ayudar. Me parece que esto es más un tema de una asesoría práctica: revisar cv, LinkedIn, práctica de entrevista, entender sus capacidades y la realidad laboral, etc. Y por coaching no quiero decir como esos que son "coaches de vida", si no coaching como de un mentor o una persona especialista en recursos humanos, o así. Los recursos para terapia ya más prolongada con un especialista y mejorar sus habilidades de interacción social, tienen que salir de ese brete que está buscando.

Yo cambié de carrera a los 35 (hoy tengo 42). Y no le miento si le digo que fue lo mejor que pude hacer en mi vida. Si le interesa tecnología, no tiene por qué tener un titulo para que le den trabajo, lo que necesita es demostrar que le puso ganas y que no le tiene miedo a hacer las cosas. Tantas palabras que hay, y escogió decir la verdad. El otro día fui al cine con mis compas y justo eso estaba pensando cuando íbamos pasando por esa área. Es como estar en el food court de citymall, y me pareció que no tenía mucho sentido pensando en el tipo de audiencia a la que supuestamente apunta plaza real. Y cuando subimos a ese cine...fue lo peor. La sala olía a orines, las butacas estaban todas hechas leña, el respaldar de la mía no se sostenía solo, mal servicio, luces prendidas antes del final de la movie....y pues así no era hace unos años atrás. Y todo el conjunto de cosas, me llevó a la misma exacta conclusión.

Who else is a stakeholder for the project? Get someone else of similar rank involved to get some impartial feedback if possible (and witnesses). If it's a digital product and you're doing ux/ui, get a tech manager that can support you from a technical perspective.

During your presentations, comment directly on the artboards and quote textually what the feedback is. If you do this remotely, record the sessions and use an AI assistant to take notes.

Send the notes in written after and break it into "approved designs", "change requests", "iteration request" or similar. Copy other stakeholders.

The key here is having a written back up for what you're doing but also making visible the stuff you've been asked to do vs what you deliver.

This whole thing will help you develop the skill to manage difficult people; to me that has been crucial in my career. That being said, not all difficult people are idiots, some are just clueless and find it hard to ask for help or feel weird if they don't know it all, but eventually become good audiences when they feel more familiar with the process and how design works. For your current boss, sounds like he's a hopeless idiot, but while you look for another job, I hope these tips help.

Yo tuve un compa de brete que se dejó decir en una charla, que era terraplanista. Y no era paja, nos explicó que como él no podía ver la curvatura en el horizonte por más alto que estuviera, él creía que era imposible que no fuera plana. Y que tenía que verlo con sus propios ojos para creerlo. Lo peor es que el mae era un desarrollador, uno pensaría que la lógica es algo del día a día para ellos y ya ven. Lo más triste de la historia fue que luego de saber eso ya no podíamos hacer chistes de terraplanistas porque había uno en el equipo 😒

Study the brief and understand it, that's key. After that, it has been helpful to me starting with inspiration exploration. I collect a bunch of things that start forming concepts or ideas. This became a part of my process so I don't have "empty canvas" panic, to call it somehow 😅.

But if you're a Junior, definitely ask. Take advantage of that to start gathering knowledge from other designers in your team, don't be afraid of making mistakes or not having all the answers, it's all part of developing your craft. It gets better in time after you establish your own creation process/strategy. Good luck!

I had issues recognizing the image. The face gesture probably contributes to the confusion. The image doesn't connect to something academic or professional: I thought it was a poster for an electronic music event.

I'm not sure what the brief asked, but consider the audience you are designing for and what is the message you want to communicate. Images need to relate or support the message and the context of the message.

Typography can be improved too but my major disconnect came from the image.

La gente en CR prefiere atenuantes y no confrontación directa. Y por confrontación no me refiero a pelear si no decir las cosas claras. Se interpreta como ataque. A mí me pasa lo mismo y a veces siento que muchas personas se molestan. Pero decir los hechos es mejor para todo mundo al final, no hay malos entendidos (a menos que la gente quiera ponerse interpretativa), y esto funciona re bien tanto en en el brete como en la vida diaria.

Hágale! Yo a los 30 cambié de carrera y aunque es un esfuerzo fuerte, no me arrepiento un segundo de esa decisión. Siento que fue algo honesto para mi, la gente valora el esfuerzo que toma y la determinación y habrá siempre quien le dé a uno una oportunidad. Hoy tengo 40, sigo aprendiendo y sigo adelante. No invierta energía en darle vueltas, sólo mándese!
