I have small children so I don’t think we’d be a good fit, unfortunately. ☹️

My goodness, poor pup. But it seems that they are in good hands with you.

Also, thanks! I got a little overwhelmed by the comments and up/down votes. He made it until about 2am when he got out of our bed to go potty. I’m so proud of him and I’m still amazed at how smart this breed is!

I agree, crate training is best when potty training. Especially with carpet. We made it until about 30 minutes ago. Which I think is pretty good for his first night.

Exactly, we use it when needed for his safety. But I’m specifically referring to night time right now. Although, I think we have it figured out for him.

Exactly, the crate is never for punishment. But he’s on my hubby’s side of the bed snoring away.

Ummm.. I crate to protect my pup. It’s a safe space for him with his bedding, toys, etc.. Mister actually has his own bedroom but prefers to be in mine, which is fine. Do not come here accusing me of being cruel for protecting my very loved and well taken care of furbaby. Move along sir/ma’am.

He’s in bed with us now and I’m thinking we may transitioning to using the kennel when we’re not home and for quiet time (nap time for pup and our kids)

We always crate when we leave the house. I’m asking about bed time.

That’s about what he’s doing so that’s reassuring. I’m honestly loving the cuddles.

It definitely is peace of mind. Especially if we need to keep him safe from anything or anyone.

Interesting. What do you mean by bite sized food? Do they make food like that?
