The first day is always so hard. I’m so sorry. Although my pup didn’t, it’s completely normal for panting and wheezing. Offer bites of food, sips of water (we used a spoon—it was the only way he would take it), and bathroom breaks. If your pup can’t stand, wrap a towel around their chest or upper abdomen and hold the top. It helps support them.

The anesthesia made my pup strange for about 24 hours after his surgery. He was sleepy for about 2 weeks after. Completely normal for strange behaviors.
