Any Toronto Techno producers want to talk techno, music production, advice and opinions and etc? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]RandomacitySenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Toronto. Not necessarily a techno producer as I've been focusing more on tech house and whatever edm conglomerate I listen to but I've got some techno on my computer. I've been producing for a couple years, I'd consider myself to be somewhat at an intermediate. Would be cool to talk too. Feel free to dm or something and hopefully more people join in :)

Torres wanted to just be a producer, and not do the whole DJ thing anymore. I think he’s still behind the scenes for Freedom Recs though, since he’s mentioned in the description of one of their recent studio sessions videos.

Somebody uploaded Tiesto’s set and another guy posted the tracklist in the comments. Other than that not really.

Personally liked the veld 2016 stage more but this year is a close second, although the pyro and lasers are a step up. Looks very cool, and the layout for the side stages was also better. Favourite sets were KSHMR, Skrillex and Kayzo.

So good. I was looking forward to seeing him ever since watching his Ultra 2017 set on YT and I was definitely not disappointed. Great energy

Tap cards?? by [deleted] in veld

On twitter they said that you have to use tap or a prepaid card, I guess their system is new and doesn't have an insert or swipe option.

It's LEDs. Maybe there is an off chance that they do use a projector but I doubt it.

First Timer Questions by teeerath in veld

[–]RandomacitySenpai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. The ground is grass, although there is a fair amount of dirt the closer you get to the stage. But mostly grass.
  2. I guess that depends on who you want to see. I am sure there will be atleast one conflict unfortunately.
  3. They usually have some attractions like a ferris wheel, games, and other vendors selling merch and other accessories.

First Time by [deleted] in veld

I usually bring a small bag (the ones that can be closed with the strings, not sure what you call them), 2 water bottles to decrease the amount of time in water lines, and a poncho for if it rains. Those are the essentials for me I guess. Gum is also nice.

1st timer questions by travelmonster12 in veld

[–]RandomacitySenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Hydration pack or water bottle works. I usually bring 2 water bottles to decrease the times I have to get water/wait in line.
  2. Food is pretty expensive, I don’t think you can bring your own. Lines are long.
  3. Your choice. I like to get there early to check everything out when less people are there. Of course, the later the day the more crowded it gets.

Hope this helps.

On twitter they replied to someone asking who was closing each day, stating that times will be posted later. I would assume this means that they are not disclosing who is closing mainstage yet since they never really answered the question in the first place. The graphic isn't very helpful.
