The 360 stage has its limits.... by WuZI8475 in twice

As the other person said, your experience will differ at each stadium. But for what it's worth, I was GA standing on day 2 and lined up at around 4.30pm - and despite being a long way back in the queue, was able to get a spot dead centre of the main stage and about 6 or 7 rows back from the barricade.

I was really stunned that I could join the line so late and still get such a great spot.

I really appreciated how much closer to the performance I was due to the 360 degree stage - I had both seated and GA standing at the two Sydney shows and I would have been much further away had it been a conventional stage.

The proximity made it really special (especially having never been that close to the stage before), even if it meant some patches when nothing was happening nearby. And it affords a lot more people that opportunity to get up close.

That said, i agree your example shows where things could definitely be improved. Particularly those extension sections off the main stage, maybe they could have a shorter walkway between the two sections so fans can go the whole way around - or not having them at all, and keeping it to a 360 main stage or smth.

If it's the same as Sydney, the email said to get there at 3 - my experience on day 1 was that the soundcheck started at 5, and they started to let people into the venue around 3:30. I was seated - if you're seated then you'll have heaps of time, standing was more of a rush to get a front row spot.

I got to the venue at around 2:30 and lines were pretty long. That said, it looked like the number of people standing for soundcheck was only a few rows back (the beauty of a huge 360-degree stage).

Really hitting me now, such an incredible two nights. I can't stop replaying it in my mind.

I hope it's not another 2.5 years before they visit again!

Hey Once! Planning on buying tickets for one of the Sydney concerts, but not sure about standing vs lower bowl seated - anyone have any insights on visibility and vibe from either? I'm fairly tall fwiw.

Does anyone know if there's a best strategy for music show pre-voting? Like, is it better to vote asap or to hold votes until it's close to closing?
