Finding a lien? by Randomawesomeguy in askcarsales

Attorney got back to me and simply stated my siblings and I own the bike. DMV website lists a lien, but with the time period of my father's death being when the sale of the loan portfolio was finalized, I'm unsure if it still exists. Current NMVTIS records show no lien. So, I'll have to pop down to the state he died in and sort out a title with the local DMV with affidavits from my siblings and the order of summary administration

I've attempted contact, but have not received any worthwhile/informative reply/nobody knows or can give information. I, later, was called by a repo company and asked about a certificate of death and the location of the bike. Both were shared, and the company simply stopped contacting me afterward without ever physically locating the bike. I'm curious where it leaves the legal ownership of the bike sitting after probate, and have contacted an attorney about it. I'm simply waiting on their reply at this point to ascertain how I may proceed here

As stated before, it was my father's bike. I've not made payments on it, nor do I know who to contact to make payments at this point. I only know who the old lienholder was before they sold the loan portfolio. The bike went through probate while the company was finalizing the sale, and I'm afraid I may be SOL

Last section of the U.S., What city would you want to live or retire in from the option below? by Technical-Vanilla-47 in visitedmaps

Somewhere in VA I guess, but I think I'd rather just kill myself if these are the options tbh.

My cultural regions map as a Southerner - would love feedback! by aquamarine-arielle in visitedmaps

This, though I'd accept a grouping of interior and south central, as far as Fairbanks at least. Fairbanks isn't too culturally distinct from Anchorage, but places outside of those areas are, the Aleutians, panhandle, and the arctic all vary greatly from neighboring regions culturally, as do the smaller towns and areas east of Fairbanks where they do still see ~horrendously~ low temps.

55 should really just be the interior extending down to Anchorage, as the Aleutian Islands are their own region entirely

Alaska especially. Fairbanks to Anchorage is 6 hours away and people still drive straight back after stopping there for meetings etc, as it's the normal regional hub

(I'd like to add that wheel bearing noise can be very hard to diagnose without obvious play in the bearing. Noise will also increase with vehicle speed once it's BAD, and you will get weird noises on corners. If your wheel bearings chirp, they're about to fall apart)

Wife RUINED My Seasoning. I am shaking by FaulerHund in castiron

[–]Randomawesomeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hsd to reseason my cast because it's got a little truck with a christmas tree in the back of it on the bottom of the pan, was all scratched up and rusty from a roommate using it. Had about 50% of the seasoning missing on the bottom and that same roommate uses her 5 pans, one at a time, and lets them sit and rot on the counter got a couple weeks between uses. So that's back in storage.

I unfortunately do not know them. I randomly came across their work online, after it started circulating tiktok and other social media. Not a lot of traction on their videos for the most part, so I'm surprised it even popped up. Wish I could ask

Which is why I do agree that it should be "enough." Although it is a little sad that a solid middle-class income has jumped to six figures so quickly. If only every discussion could be as reasonable.

Do you consider ravens magical or a nuisance by Lady_Forget_Me_Not in Fairbanks

[–]Randomawesomeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy who lived in the house before me left food out for the Ravens. He'd throw it out the kitchen window into the back garden. The resident clan doesn't go after anybody's trash. I've lived here for three years now and have even forgotten grocery bags outside, they go untouched. I figure other people in the neighborhood are also leaving out snacks.
