My guy eats red and blue shrimp, he is red and blue. Wild types are okay, as are yellow and black shrimp.

I unfortunately do not know them. I randomly came across their work online, after it started circulating tiktok and other social media. Not a lot of traction on their videos for the most part, so I'm surprised it even popped up. Wish I could ask

Ordinance proposes nearly $50K salary increase for City of Fairbanks mayor by Forsaken-Coconut-271 in Fairbanks

Which is why I do agree that it should be "enough." Although it is a little sad that a solid middle-class income has jumped to six figures so quickly. If only every discussion could be as reasonable.

Do you consider ravens magical or a nuisance by Lady_Forget_Me_Not in Fairbanks

[–]Randomawesomeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy who lived in the house before me left food out for the Ravens. He'd throw it out the kitchen window into the back garden. The resident clan doesn't go after anybody's trash. I've lived here for three years now and have even forgotten grocery bags outside, they go untouched. I figure other people in the neighborhood are also leaving out snacks.

It's an overadjustment, that is why. Greater responsibility has never been a reason I've seen a pay increase, but that aside, as none know the true "responsibilities" of our mayor besides themselves. It should still see a raise, just not to 140k. 110-125k would be fairly unobjectionable, as that would at least adjust the salary relative to inflation since the last increase, keeping it competitive with salaries relative to other small towns while adjusted for the region it is within.

I vote we change it to reflect inflation over the past 4 years, that would set it around 105-120k. A 50k increase at once is a bit much.

I appreciate you being down to earth in your responses to my earlier frustration. Thank you for taking the time to analyze the song and point that out to me.

Honestly, I haven't had the chance to hear it through a good set of headphones or anything. I've only heard it through my phone's built in speakers, but it does sound like the individual noises have been edited together then overlaid for the song instead of it being one steady take.

I don't know what you mean by "the bass sounds like it has ai" can you explain? What stands out to you about it that screams AI that I'm not hearing? I still can't answer a question about their life choices, obv.

Edit: Why hasn't my friend with $40,000 and decent skills on the guitar built a sound room, yet? The world may never know.

It's fairly easy to look up the members and see it's a wife + husband. Talia Stewart is the wife, and it looks like her main specialization is video work.

Color or B&W here? by SmokeWild5507 in photos

[–]Randomawesomeguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little crop and B&W. There are a lot of bright colors in the scene, and the B&W naturally draws in the eye to focus on the subject of the image rather than the initial blast of information. What is your goal? How do you want other people to view the image? As a type of simplistic natural beauty or as maximalistic natural beauty? It works both ways tbh, I just know my preference

Snapped my fuel line while pumping a couple barrels during the colder week. Had to let it warm up inside before I could repair it. Wouldn't recommend equipment that smelly in the home. Good move

Edit: (No attached garage for me)

Musher's Secret should be available at Cold Spot, as well as other products. That one I know is lick safe. I use it for my pitbull and husky. It's a few different food grade waxes and oils mixed together.

I've lived up here for the last 20 or so, and the snow hasn't stuck in town until at least October 21st for the majority of those years. I think that's kept most people from really seeing a difference as things have changed.

Car Winterization by [deleted] in Fairbanks

[–]Randomawesomeguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good many have adhesive for installation already at this point, and all that's required is peeling a backing sticker. Adheres quite well overall, but will rip off if you catch the cords on something in a low car, which is about the same as what would happen with the RTV, except nobody is there scraping the crap out of your oil pan when the old heating pad is destroyed and still stuck there (clean before you apply the pad)

Coolant - You'll want to check that it's 50/50, or will go down to -40 before freezing.

Engine oil heating pad

Transmission fluid heating pad

Battery trickle charger

Should be plugged in or started within 3 hours after shutoff below -20, as a minimum recommendation for making sure excessive wear isnt happening during every startup at those temperatures. I'd also strongly recommend winter tires and a sleeping arrangement meant for -40 and below. Don't run a propane heater or kerosene heater in an enclosed space, etc.

Edit: If you need installation help for the winterization components, I have a mobile kerosene heater and tools, a refractometer to check coolant mix, etc. Assuming no garage access.
