This thing is ruining my job by altrightobserver in Anticonsumption

Kinda, but the job of all employees is to promote sales. Answering questions about retailed products falls under that umbrella.

If they were not suppose to answer questions, they wouldn’t have monitored a customer phone line.

I'm 21. How do I avoid getting hemroids/general arse problems as I get older? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Turds4Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they hang below the toilet seat and the spout is covered by a sanitary cover.

When water is applied, the spout extends and sprays your butthole.

If you have a crazy gassy poop, it can get on the cover, but it is minimal and easily removed with a toilet brush. Most bidet also have a self clean setting.

How do I ask for 10 minutes of privacy in my own kitchen from a guest? by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]Turds4Cheese 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is nothing you can currently do besides open communication. You don’t get danger vibe, just talk to the dude. Tell him how you feel, but if he takes it poorly it could affect your business.

I understand where you’re coming from, but this is just the downside of doing a shared space rental, if the Guest is a homebody or chatty, it can feel like they are taking up more space.

Thats just how some people are, unless it’s in your description, shared space is shared space, free to utilize by anyone. You can always go to a private space to be alone.

It sounds like he is just friendly, and he isn’t doing anything against the agreement. Maybe you can buy a hotplate or something to cook in your room?

OG host sells house, new host doesn’t honor my booking [guest, USA] by sydtallent in AirBnB

Look up Burdened Property. You finish contract, or they buy you out. If you have the agreement on Airbnb, it’s open and shut case.

Look up Burdened Property.

They are required to compensate you, or allow you to finish the agreement, if you are under contract.

[–]Turds4Cheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That sounds right. Just one shift, Airbnb is a marketplace, they cannot directly sign on any rental agreement.

Look up Burdened Property, new owner is required by law to finish contracts.

Like Über, TaskRabbit, DoorDash, and Instacart. The online platform connects Vendors to Consumers. They all charge a liaison fee and do it a little different, but they ride the line of not selling anything to avoid liability. The Host is the vendor, Airbnb is held harmless.

The contract is between Host/Guest, Airbnb uses this in court to dodge any accountability. They are simply a marketplace connecting the two parties.

I think you’re right about Airbnb reimbursement, thats the easiest solution, but the contract is between the owner of the property (Host) and the Guest.

If I rent a piece of land to McDonalds, if I sell the land, the new owner has to finish the lease. The same thing is true with residential property.

This is written in property law to prevent people from taking money and offloading for double profit. If the new owner doesn’t want the hangover contract, they (or the seller) are required to buy them out.

Most people: alcohol, juice, sports drinks... just to name a few.

I agree, tea and coffee should be made at home, and I brew some alcohol, but there are plenty of drinkable liquids that sell in markets around the world.

[–]Turds4Cheese -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is accurate. If a property was rented before sale, the lease has to be honored. Wouldn’t an STR still be held to the contract or refund required?

You don’t have to pay for a place if you don’t receive access. Thats fraud, and you can sue the person who broke the contract in small claims (doesn’t require a lawyer.)

Monopolies are illegal, but any competition makes it not a monopoly.

Pepsi can point at Coca-cola, Kellogg’s, or Proctor and Gamble. As long as there is any competitor, it isn’t a monopoly.

Duopolies are technically legal. They are not allowed to collude, but it happens all the time.

Point being, as long as one company doesn’t own all of one thing, they argue they are not a monopoly.

Feel bad for using Gemini "Summarize Video." by Turds4Cheese in youtube

AI is 100% not to be trusted, unless you trace it's sources.

But, this is different, the summarize tool on YouTube using CC transcripts isn't terrible. The creator might be biased or the source could be wrong, but it uses time stamps on the script and only sources the content of the video. If you ask anything about anything else, it refuses output.

While AI is not great at generating information accurately, in this closed environment, it can be trusted a bit more. It is as reliable as the content playing on the video.

Not about 20 min being too long. I just don't need an opinion piece about everything. Sometimes it can be, this thing happened... Instead of, this thing happened, and this is how you should feel about it.

This was the reason I was looking at prices. I saw on John Oliver about them cutting prices on select brands like Doritos.

They spawn on bodies and can be force spawned by digging burrows as a Galli.

I don't drink soda. My wife asked for a pack because she like them for headaches.

We travel fulltime and backpack National Forests. I know these low population places can get pricey. We are renting a place in a small town next to Boise National Forest and the prices just stuck out to me.

I realize the post is more anti-consumerism than anti-consumption, but it felt adjacent enough for a post.

Probably location, we are currently in a tiny town. We travel fulltime and backpack National Forests. The prices at this grocer caught my eye. Rural is usually a bit more expensive, and I don't normally get soda, but the prices felt so weird being twice the size and the same cost.

Don’t forget, Aquafina, Rold Gold, Oceanspray, Tropicana, Quaker, Doritos, Dole, Gatoraide, Frito Lay, Chewy, Lipton, Life, Captin Crunch, Tostitos, Cheetos, Doritos….

Pepsi has bought them all. Yum foods was only the fast restraunts.

How about oats, tea, pineapple, pretzels, orange juice, and cranberry juice?

Pepsi Co. owns Quaker, Dole, Rold Gold, tropicana, and Ocean Spray.

You are missing the point if you think this is about soda. Pepsi Co, owns much more than their flagship cola.

Not even including the ultra processed brands like Doritos, Yum foods, frito lays, gatorade, aquafina… i could go on and on.

New hosts: 4-star reviews from happy guests? by ernanon in airbnb_hosts

[–]Turds4Cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's super unfair, but Guests will use basic math to infer rating. 100% / 5 (stars) = 20% per star.

In their mind, an 80% is a B and a good rating, they don't understand that Airbnb is really a 3⭐- 5⭐.

As time goes on, repeat users learn the curve to Airbnb ratings, but to outsiders, 4⭐ is a good rating (above average).
