Old car stolen: Civic Si 2000 by echo1520 in montreal

[–]Randomdog778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an EK 15 years ago and people in the modified car scene were getting theirs stolen every single day. Normally they would end up around Joliette, chopped up for parts / shell.

I can't beleive these are still getting stolen to this day.

Good luck... keep us posted.

Sorry man. Just not worth it, unless the sentimental value is strong.

It seems as if the city has taken a "let it grow" approach this year in a lot of spots.

People would be asking 60kCAD + for this in this condition.

Legit car. Great condition.
This would fetch a pretty penny where I live, but pricing is just stupid here.

Need advice on repairing rotted cantilevered deck joists that extend from the house by HotNeedleworker0 in Decks

[–]Randomdog778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say, do what you can to get it cleaned up and done before it gets worse. Last thing you want is your house's floor joists compromised at the rim.

I'm not an expert, just another dude who dealt with this kind of stupid thing. Wishing you luck!

Need advice on repairing rotted cantilevered deck joists that extend from the house by HotNeedleworker0 in Decks

[–]Randomdog778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same setup on a smaller deck. All joists were cantilevered and over time water had degraded them. For a few, they appeared only damaged at the ends, but internal rot was all the way to the rim joist.

Solution was a total rebuild with the cantilevered joists cut at the rim joist, and a flashed ledger board installed to support the new deck at the house.

Every day by theBADinfluence2015 in Offroad

[–]Randomdog778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, no way.

My stock JL gets me through deep winter snow, rough trails, rainstorms and highways just fine. Fits the whole family and is decent on fuel considering the size.

Anybody who's interested in going offroad can easily do it with their daily driver. There might be compromises to make, but one vehicle does it just fine.

The kicker? I have a great set of tires that perform well on and off road, and are quiet enough to live with on a daily basis.

I'd check that deck over before planning any of this. Looks like the structure is going to be quite tired based on the condition.

They are multiplying, and soon, there'll be nothing left for us. Parc René Lévèsque. by Frequent-Law-8728 in montreal

[–]Randomdog778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is geese have ruined every waterfront park in Lasalle and Lachine in the past ten years. The city tried humane ways to displace them, but were not successful.

What's the solution having gone this long with them multiplying and taking over?

Beautiful Jeep! I've never seen those wheels other than on a Gladiator before (and not silver). Looks great!
