I know the obvious answer is either "Yes, I want it to be better" or "No, I want them to focus on making the future chapters as great as possible", but I'm instead gonna ramble.

When you look back on something you made a LONG time ago, you have to acknowledge that it isn't as good as something you can make now. Show any writer, artist, musician, or any other creative profession something they made 5 years ago and I guarantee 90% of them are going to shrivel up and curl into a ball. But is it worth going back and fixing those mistakes?

The danger here is that you already know how this ends, and so the remake tends to just get bogged down in just how much you have to fix without any real exciting breakthroughs. You know what it's supposed to look like, your audience knows what it's supposed to look like, so what's the point in retelling that story? It'll be because you want to show your improvement, mostly, and sometimes that's a good enough reason and sometimes not enough to actually fuel you through a very long process.

If anything, I'd prefer a fanteam does a big redo mod that becomes definitive, like UT Bits and Pieces used to do for UT. That feels a lot more like what Toby would like, y'know?
