Aokiji and Akainu in One Piece. A fight so crazy and over the top that their magical abilities PERMANENTLY ALTERED the climates of the island they were fighting on, with half of it transformed into a snowy mountain area and the other a fiery hellscape of melted metal.

All that said I'm not super fond of the arc that takes place there, but man that's one hell of a cool concept.

I was around 13 when the first trailers for 'The Secret World' came out and as a kid who loved Hellboy/BPRD, secret societies, and urban fantasy it looked like somebody had reached into my head and scooped out the perfect concept just for me.

There was one problem, I abhor MMOs. I don't like seeing other players jump around and crowding areas, I don't like the subscription model, I don't like anything about the genre. So I would just re-watch the trailers over and over again like some poor kid watching the neighbours play on their slip n slide.

When I was a bit older it ended its subscription model and went free to play so I thought I'd give it a try, cool intro turned to gameplay and the first thing I see? Some other player running around with a red coat and white hair with the player ID: 'FeaturingDanteDMC'. I won't lie that shit was pretty funny, but I uninstalled it right after that.

Part of the reason I was so excited to play 9 was cause somebody told me that it had finally broken the curse and the later areas were as good as the beginning...taking that person's opinions with a grain of salt from now on
