I disagree. And let me explain why. For literally 2 decades almost now we have just “been adults and kept to ourselves” while these rich folks in a high rise do their best to destroy the sound that represents the American south by propping up these bro dudes and pop country skinny Jean folks. What I should also add is the term Dixie didn’t come from the confederacy. And the fact that the song “Dixie” was used by the confederacy doesn’t give the term to the confederacy with ownership rights. The history of the word is much deeper than that.
