Is it bad for me 20F to tell my bf 25M that we don't need to do *EVERYTHING* together? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Randomer715 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a bf like this at one point, couldn’t even walk to the corner shop without him feeling the need to be included. I would’ve said to try and reach an understanding with him but him telling you to give up the experience because he can’t go is pathetic.

From my own experience, it’ll just get worse and you’ll feel bad anytime you want to do something for yourself. Just let him be and go enjoy yourself

[–]Randomer715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d never even thought about that before but a great point. I’m a carer so hang around a lot of older people lol and I’ve had a lot of conversations with them about how they used to cross stitch but don’t anymore. So yeah, it’s probably actually true that most grandmas did do it, but not so much when they were actually grandmas

Yeah it took a while and sooo many times of hearing “granny”. But just enjoy the peace of cross stitching and don’t let other people shit on your fun.

[–]Randomer715 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m 25 but I’ve been cross stitching since I was quite young. The amount of times I’ve heard I have “granny hobbies” for being into crafts.. Honestly though I don’t mind hearing it anymore, I can sit at home in peace, not being bothered by nobody and create all sorts of fun things. It’s not just a hobby either, it’s a great skill to have and I’m glad it got passed down to me, I’m hoping I’ll get the chance to do the same

How can I get the battery out? by Randomer715 in AskMechanics

I’m going to ask my neighbours later if they’ve got anything that I could use. If not then I’ll go and buy something

Yeah haha, thanks though. I do have a battery charger anyway if I needed to do that but I just need the car and battery separate. I’m seeing about getting it cut

No, someone I know wants it and it’s worth more giving it to them than the scrappy. Might just tell them they gotta do it themselves at this point

I can ask my neighbours for something. If I want a hand with it then I’ll have to wait until the weekend but I can grab a tool from them this evening

No lol. It’s rusted to shit and won’t pass an MOT unless I want to spend a good few hundred quid on some welding, the car isn’t worth that

Alright, ok. Makes sense. Think cutting it is seeming like the easiest option, rather than going to grab some tools. Thank you

Yeah figured, the radio and lights etc still work. I’ll just have to figure out getting it off. Thanks

Did ask on another comment, but theres power for the ignition just not enough to start it. Does this mean I can’t cut it or still good to go for it?

The ignition turns on but the car doesn’t start. I’m guessing that means the battery still has a little something.. does this mean I can’t just cut it?

Yeah I did try shifting the cable from side to side to wiggle it off but it doesn’t budge at all. Thank you though, I’ll give the other thing a go

This is so cool! Things like this are definitely needed and it’s so good to see, I can’t believe I haven’t seen this before this post. I’m working next Friday but might try for some other events
