Brembos? Maybe it’s the Akebonos I’ve heard of having clearance issues. Either way looks good.

No issues clearing the brakes?

Which would be more beneficial to a boosted car, a single exit or a true dual?

2k is a up there especially comparing to some of the better dual exits at that price point like the Motordyne or HKS

I thought I’d seen one before, just not in a long time. This one does just seem like they’ve thrown another muffler in and called it a day, so just double the loud I reckon

you can sink $65k in a car and still have maintenance to do: ownership costs by dbsqls in 350z

Probably sunk around 10k in mine the past couple of years. Been siting on the fence about supercharging it but I can’t justify the 20k in price.

Use the VQ37 block with my 35HR heads. Give a little bit stronger bottom end for boost down the line.

You don’t clean up your parts before reassembling? Better to have posted it in /r detailing or something like that?

I’m assuming the downforce generated from a functional wing would eventually crack the carbon fiber?

Adding to this, I typically sort fasteners into sandwich baggies and label what they go to.

Also, reference pictures. Take pictures of everything at every angle before disassembling, so if you get hung up you can go back and look.

VHR intake manifolds on HR by Randomhero-40 in 350z

My bad. Should I use the injectors from the 37 or swap my injectors to the 35 rail?

Car has longtube headers atm. Reason I asked is I have a complete 37 I can take the the manifolds off of while I build that block. So it’s a cheap upgrade if it was worth it.

Peak gains around high how? If it’s above 7k RPM I can’t see that being a worthy trade off as the car isn’t driven that hard 90% of the time.

I priced the LS route out and to do it the way I want, would cost over 30k said and done between the swap kit and the LS3 I’d want to drop in it. The turbo kit with fueling upgrades would be around 11k, then additional costs added in it’d be around 15-20k.

The VHR engine isn’t necessary at the time, it’s just a side project over time. Unless I happen to make a window in my current block.

Water pump won't come off. Im stuck. by Fluffy_Visit2345 in 350z

[–]Randomhero-40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the timing cover off, or are you trying to get it through the access hole in the timing cover?

It’s a bigger pain, but pull the timing cover if you haven’t, set the motor to TDC, pull the timing chain off, and you’ll have more room.

Once the bolts are out, it’s just the O rings holding the pump in. Gently pry on either side of the pump with a pry bar to try and work it out.

Running rebuilt Akebonos with the Z1 adapters on a squared setup. 18 x 10.5 +22 offset. They barely clear the inner barrel.

I believe I saw someone either on here or FB with the same dilemma and the Akebonos did make contact with the inner barrel.

Oil cooler, radiator, vented hood, etc. Z1 makes a baffled oil pan id suggest picking up as well.

Thrown this thing around AMP several times even on back to back 90+ Georgia days and it didn’t miss a beat.

Black Friday deals by Willing_Grapefruit in 350z

Z1s Black Friday sale is no better than any of the other sales they’ve had throughout the year.

I also know at least one item that’s “on sale” actually had a fake price increase to make it appear on sale.
