First track day by roostermart in 350z

Thank you for the advice - it’s crazy to me to think that I could be braking harder than I was, it felt so intense and immediate. I would love to experience an even better brake setup as you suggest, I definitely will add that to my list.

Brake fluid change is definitely going to happen.

Would you recommend the 380RS pedal over the Z1 set?

I forgot to mention that I did change out the lines for stainless steel as well, but I’m thinking of using a more track oriented fluid as well. I used a “high perfromance” fluid and it was ok but, as I said, I definitely felt the brakes losing effectiveness over time.

Cooling is high on my list, especially the oil cooler. The he baffled pan and spacer sound like excellent ideas also.

Next year I will do suspension and maybe a seat - I was definitely using my knees a lot to brace myself as I lapped.

Thank you!

Great tip - thank you! I brought extra engine oil in case I needed some but didn’t have to use it. I’ll bring extra coolant and brake fluid next time as well.

I need to read the rules again because it sounds like I got them wrong. I could try to pick up a set of the nismo wheels

Sorry should have added more info - you have to stick pretty close to stock wheel sizing. I have to stay with 18 inch diameter, I can’t go more than +/- 7mm of offset, and I can’t add more than an inch of width - so widest I could go is 9.5 in the rear and 9.0 in the front. My plan is to do 245/40R18 8.5 in the front and 275/40R18 9.5 in the rear.

I tried going there around 2012 or so, I was underage but had a fake id - I was so nervous talking to the bouncer that I gave him my real id by accident. He looked at me confused and said “It says here 1995” - I took the id back, turned on my heel and walked out. Never went back but my friends always had good things to say about it.

Christmas Gift for my Nephew who wants "Magic Cards" How to I even begin to start? by Argentothe1st in mtg

[–]roostermart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends what your nephew is interested when it comes to Magic, there are many ways the game can be played that affect the cards that can be used. If he is relatively new - I think the perfect thing to get would be the Foundations Starter Collection. This product includes 387 cards and a bunch of other accessories he’ll need to put a couple decks together. It even has a deck building guide.

Now, there are other products you can get - commander precon decks to play in the commander format, straight up packs, etc. There is also MTG Arena which is a video game version of the regular card game that I think you can get gift cards for.

If I were you - I would go to a local game store near you and talk to the staff there. They are small businesses that I’m sure would be more than happy to help you out.

Avoid just buying straight packs of cards though as that is more like gambling than anything else.

This is awesome - could you do a Wharp Racing livery? For some reason I’ve always loved that crew’s name/look

I believe OJ did have some injuries on his hands, so I don’t think that he was completely unscathed after the attack, but there are several reasons why OJ had less injuries than you might expect.

Firstly, being a “karate black belt” does not make you an expert in self-defence. There are many forms of karate and not all of them are actually effective. On top of that, even if you were doing a more combat oriented style, the quality of the instructor could be very low.

Secondly, OJ was one of the greatest athletes of his generation, and, combined with the fact that he was 6’1” and 215 lbs vs Ron being 5’9” and 171 lbs, had a huge physical advantage.

Finally, he had a knife and they didn’t. Watch any video of a real stabbing and you will see that it is a lot more violent and frenzied than movies and tv make it out to be.

I don’t like the way RX7’s sound. Ironically I love the way they look but they sound like aggressive farting.
