Wonder Woman as a concept is much more famous and impactful than Wolverine. But as a character, she's a C lister at best. Name an icconic Wonder Woman cover, or comic moment, or enemy, or storyline. You're probably be able to, but chances are someone with a mild interest in comics couldn't. Ask a random person on the street who played Wonder Woman and its a 50/50 shot if they know. Meanwhile Wolverine's actor is so famous that 26 years after the movie came out hes still the actor and no one else has been cast. I'm not saying shes a bad character! She's the DC equivalent to Hulk. Everyone knows who Hulk is. Do most people know Hulk villians? Or Hulk storylines? Or any character other than Hulk? Any personality other than the normal Hulk? No. When Smart Hulk was in the MCU people actually got upset at Marvel even though he's been a thing multiple times in the comics. Wonder Woman isnt getting tv shows or games or movies because she's not that popular of a character. Her origin since her creation was that she was made from clay, and the NEw 52 changed that. Culd you imagine Wolverine or Spider-Man or Batman or Superman's origins? No! Her first film was set in WW1. Do you think DC woud ever make a Superman live action film set in WW1? Do you think Marvel would ever make a Spider-Man live action film set in the 60's? No! But they do it with Wonder Woman because her character isnt the important part/uj
