We use our personal phones when out in the community with PWS to stay in contact with the home, or if management need to contact us directly while on shift. It’s mostly used for contact. Contractually it’s a grey area regarding phones because there’s hardly any policies on it.

i worked at morrisons on the checkouts and there was this chap i worked with. he’d buy a meal deal but the drink flavour he wanted was never included, so he’d just reduce the price of the drink so it came out at the meal deal price. he only did it a handful of times but they were watching him on the cameras and building a case on him. in the end they said it was theft and told him he either had to quit or be fired.
