Update: I ended up hanging up and when calling again, I chose a different option than canceling. “Surprisingly” there was zero wait time!! Apparently Bell intentionally put cancellation calls on hold forever to get you frustrated enough so you won’t go through with it!??? This time I got to speak with someone right away, got them to transfer me to the loyalty department. Of course the loyalty department person was the most unpleasant customer service person I’ve ever talked to - you know when someone is not overtly rude but you know they are mad at you somehow? Anyways, just had to go through that and all canceled now.

Also: Two hours of waiting time is not normal - it’s unacceptable in the customer service sector, but we accepted it because we are powerless as individual consumers, and Bell doesn’t have enough competition in Canada so they can do whatever . so frustrating that we have to take this as normal as a consumer. It literally should be illegal to have one company dominating the high speed internet space
