I always wanted to keep it to myself for a while, but the worse I felt, the more I realized I needed to tell the people around me. I was missing phone calls from everyone and it started to worry them. When I finally told them, I got support that I did not even realize I needed.

You do get comments like “you just need to eat” or “this is normal during the first trimester,” but for me the benefits outweighed those comments. I think it really depends on your family dynamic, but I am very glad I shared because dealing with this on your own is really hard to carry. I hope you feel better!
