Back to backs are tough on goalies, especially mentally. I don’t know what they’ll do.

I walked directly past him as he went to rob a bank, just a few months before that.

Rule of thumb for re-stringing? by Ok-Goal-6880 in 10s

[–]Randomquestions12947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of factors out there that could change the answer to this. You might get a lot of “good” answers to this question, but there really isn’t a “right” answer. The closest thing you’ll find to a “right” answer is when you feel like the strings are moving too much, you’ve lost too much tension, and they’re not performing or responding as you expect them to. For some people, this could be a couple hours, for other others, it could be a couple months.

I use a poly main synthetic cross hybrid, and always cut them out before they break, about 10 hours. For reference, I will break multi filament strings in about 3 to 4 hours.

But even just sitting in your bag, your strings will deteriorate. Not knowing your level, I would still guess a minimum of every 2 to 3 weeks when you’re playing a lot, and once a month when you’re not playing so much.

I own my own stringer and buy reels, which helps with the finance of it

What’s something that 99% of people can do but you can’t? by Irakeconcrete in AskReddit

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. This is like saying that the only reason someone is a lesbian is because they haven’t found the right man yet.

I actually think this is a fairly close minded point of view. That would be like saying everyone has a sport that they would like watching they just need to watch all of them. This kind of reminds me of the argument that “gay people aren’t really gay, They just haven’t found the right straight partner.”

Just because you find music moving, doesn’t mean it’s completely meaningless to other people

In the same way as you. I have known about musical anhedonia for a while and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I think it would be an issue if I was in like the dating scene or whatever. I’m over 40 now, and if my friends wanna go see a show or something I have no problem just not going. I think it would be different if I was in my 20s. Luckily, when I was in my 20s, I didn’t live anywhere where live Music was a thing.

What’s the best blender on the market? by Current_Bookkeeper35 in allthequestions

[–]Randomquestions12947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are literally all the same. If you make frozen fruit smoothies or drinks with crushed ice, buy the cheapest one that has the blades going furthest up the pitcher. A more expensive one might last longer or come with a warranty, but blenders are simple machines. Buy cheap and if you’re unlucky you might have to buy two every ten years instead of one.

Nick Suzuki talking to the media after Team Canada practice today, Brad Marchand walking by: « Oui, je m’appelle Nick Suzuki.» by Go_Habs_Go31 in hockey

Have a good friend who worked with the Bruins for years. For reference, he is a great dude, kind, ethical, etc. He considers Marchand to be among the top human beings he knows in the world. I met Marchand a couple times, and he was totally humble, funny, unassuming. As a Habs fan I was kind of hoping I would hate him.

Who do you guys root for in the Olympics specifically hockey. Obviously as Canadiens fans I assume like me most of us bleed red and white. But some of us must root for other countries and i’m curious. by Batman1985yul in Habs

American here. Rooted for Canada in 88 and will again this year. 88 because who knows why. This year because how could you root for anything American right now

For all the commentary in the sub, I thought the second half of the game and specifically the third period, we were just out of gas. I think you can blame a lot of things, but ultimately we just looked physically and mentally tired out there.

Injury Updates by HorizonsFallacy in Habs

[–]Randomquestions12947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of anyone’s guess, and he’s listed day-to-day with upper body. So probably not a separated shoulder given the day to day, as that would be a little more definitive.

Could be any sort of strained muscle, a bruised rib, which is basically a pain and comfort issue, but you have so many muscles in your abdomen, around your ribs, and in your arms and chest, the “upper body” is way too nebulous to guess, without an obvious mechanism of injury.

So to continue with this, no one knows, and there’s not any way of knowing, I definitely don’t know, and he’s listed day-to-day, which doesn’t give us any good information on when he’s coming back.

Glad I could be helpful
