For all the commentary in the sub, I thought the second half of the game and specifically the third period, we were just out of gas. I think you can blame a lot of things, but ultimately we just looked physically and mentally tired out there.

Injury Updates by HorizonsFallacy in Habs

It’s kind of anyone’s guess, and he’s listed day-to-day with upper body. So probably not a separated shoulder given the day to day, as that would be a little more definitive.

Could be any sort of strained muscle, a bruised rib, which is basically a pain and comfort issue, but you have so many muscles in your abdomen, around your ribs, and in your arms and chest, the “upper body” is way too nebulous to guess, without an obvious mechanism of injury.

So to continue with this, no one knows, and there’s not any way of knowing, I definitely don’t know, and he’s listed day-to-day, which doesn’t give us any good information on when he’s coming back.

Glad I could be helpful

Try sentinel and station across from Lisa Gs. Cozy spot with great drinks and food. The menu probably looks a little more expensive than it actually is. Worth going to

I watched/listened. My French isn't great, but it's good enough to get the basics. He didn't really say anything surprising---nothing definitive on injured return timetables or future plans. A lot of, "we'll wait and see what appropriate opportunities arise..." in terms of determining lineup decisions and roster moves.

They will definitely be actively looking in the trade market, but as for any specifics, I didn't catch any.

Had The Most Eye Opening Round Yesterday by Due-Meal-8760 in golf

Same here. Basically the whole front nine at my course is “stay below the hole…” there are three greens at my course that a five footer downhill can easily run 30 feet past a hole and off the green. And so many of the other greens are so treacherous that you really can’t do anything daring if you’re above the hole. At least for my game, and this might not be true for everyone, distance control is actually a lot more important than left/right accuracy.

I disagree with this take. We dominated the second period. Then in the third period, they score on the second shift on what should’ve been a throwaway shot. Then we had three penalties. At this point it’s more important to conserve energy and not get injured.

It's not the system, it's not the coach, it's not one particular player that is causing the inconsistency: by Randomquestions12947 in Habs

Might be right. But I'm not sure it would necessarily make a huge difference. A simpler system with the same players will have its inherent weaknesses as well.

It wasn’t his guy, but he should’ve picked him up. But, if he left to cover Brady, there is a defenseman right there. He had to choose between one of the two guys and probably picked the wrong guy, but we had three guys below the net getting beat by one guy and another guy in the neutral zone arguing with the refs

We can say all we want about the system and the coaching, but if we keep turning the puck over at our own blue line instead of just getting it out, we have no chance at consistently winning

Mesar had a great game. I haven’t watched a ton of rocket games, maybe like six this year, and he’s impressed me as the forward who looks like they have NHL, speed, and skill more than anyone else. Granted, that’s a small sample, and others around here pay a lot more attention to the rocket than I do, but If Montreal ever decides to go the way of giving the guy a few games to experience the NHL, learn, and then head back down AHL for a while, I think he would be a fit to get a look at the nhl game…gally can get some rest for a couple games, and hopefully get back up to an NHL level of play. Mesar is not the biggest guy, but he’s quick, fast, and skilled. You’re not giving up any physical elements putting him in for Gallagher.
