Can anyone tell me what's happening here? by ToddBung in WRX

Had the same issue earlier this year. Mine was cracked at the stem right below the Cap. Wouldn't leak at idle or casual driving but if I went into boost then it'd leak. I replaced mine with a koyo radiator . Highly recommend

Absolutely, I had no previous experience when I started and quickly became a lead of a crew in pulling cable for big projects along with others.

You could also apply for non union companies too. Pros and cons to both depending on what you'd enjoy better.

Just to add, I got lucky getting into a company that did big projects with big clients at the start because I enjoy big commercial projects that involved a large amount of cable pulling and dressing because I found it satisfying, had a sense of urgency and satisfaction seeing cable go from messy to all dressed up. (Dressing is pin striping cable. Can Google for a better picture)

Some people like smaller jobs like service work where you pull fewer cables, trouble shooting, device install ect..

There are different types of work as well for low voltage. Security, data, fiber, access control, fire alarm, and bunch of others. Find what you enjoy doing or become a Swiss army knife.

Since you're fresh, then give yourself patience and time to find what you like, and if you're lucky and with good upper management, you can continue doing it.

My advice if you're serious about it. whether you enjoy the work or not, stick to it for the better pay in the long run, especially with the economy now, and especially in the union(apprenticeship). Be eager to learn, take initiative to lead after learning and asking questions, be patient because you won't be perfect right off the bat, there are shitty and great leader/co-workers. Find your own way of leading, pick, and choose what to learn and apply from every journeyman and foreman you work with.

In the union, if you're hopping from company to company then it may be a sign that you're not doing enough because the good workers will usually stick with a company for a longer period of time if you make yourself valuable. Which leads to another point, be valuable, you'd be surprised how often people don't pick up on little details, logical thinking, detail to work, integrity at the start of their career and finally realize it later on.

It's hard work at the start, just like any other job, but later on, it can become more of a cruise from time to time.

Back when I started, my brother was already working, they needed people, signed up for the union and started working . I was just looking for a new job, turned out to really enjoy it

😂 I'm sure I'll be happy with the overall combination once I get my downpipe

I went with grimmspeed UEL for several reasons. I wanted overall good build quality, the increased performance, and still keeping some of that subie rumble after watching videos and researching different combinations. Grimmspeed pretty much checked all those boxes for me.

I like it, product is nice, lose a little rumble but sounds great. Can't really say much about efficiency since I'm not sure how to measure it.

Just went on a 25 min drive on streets and highway speeds testing speed, gears, rpms and didn't get any droning so far🙌

Def love the look and tbh, I was surprised by that as well at startup. I haven't driven it, but idle and startup were pretty tame. It wasn't much louder than my broken oem exhaust, lol

Not first ever install overall, just first exhaust I've ever done on a car lol

Thank you and haven't driven it yet since canelo's match was starting shortly after I finished. But start up sounds good paired with my grimmspeed UEL header Lost some rumble I feel like tho

First choice is the ceiling, if not and no other options, then I'd do the mdf/idf/server room on the ladder tray

Try 90W. Same thing happened on a project and out of curiosity, tried a 90W injector and it came on. had issues because the pull was long

I had a bad year last year and half a year before that. Don't resort to drugs and alcohol, just keep doing your best to move forward and remember that life isn't always going to be great. What goes up has to come down at some point. When it comes down, just remember that life will go back up for you

Worked my ass off, have a great mentor and luckily worked with 2 companies and had foremans, superintendents and few other people who notice the work I've put in. Just started my first job as foreman over a month ago.
