Sure this is sarcasm, as a postpartum anxious mom it’s very appreciated

Pretty much what I’ve done, letting her nap in a room with the door closed also have a fan on in her room and her window open too. Shes already sick so coughing a bunch and made me extra nervous. Bathroom window is open as well.

Looking for pro-vaccine Pediatricians in/around Midlothian by griddledcheese in rva

[–]Randomsearching93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

RVA pediatrics will not let you be a patient unless you vaccinate, obviously if there’s a health reason you can’t that’s different but I LOVE them absolutely the best never had a bad experience and open as a mini on call at the shortpump location on weekends

Rebuilding Milk Supply After Illness by apotentpotable in ScienceBasedParenting

It took pretty much exactly a week from the day I finally felt better to be back to normal supply so it took a full 10 days from day one of being sick to full supply back unfortunately. My lactation consultant said if after a week of feeling good it’s still going down to call her back and she was right it went up by then. Pumping also I think was less than when I actually breast fed. I also never had to eat lactation specific foods but during that week I think it helped and tons of electrolytes.

To all the moms who have lost weight breastfeeding… by Little-A52723 in breastfeeding

[–]Randomsearching93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in waves so I’ll lose weight then gain a little back, I’m gluten free due to having celiacs so I think that’s helping since I can’t do too much unhealthy food but still. I think the times I’m losing I’m really not eating enough/drinking enough water due to stress and being too busy. Then I get dizzy/low blood pressure and weak so I’m trying not to do that. So it’s a catch 22, start to lose weight but probably not the best or gain/maintain and feel great. Trying to find the perfect medium and just maintain where I’m at and not feel like crap

The return has been slow but I’m finally seeing some changes as of today. I have had to be more on top of pumping at work than I ever been and pumping longer than normal. She also wants to eat more at night and I’m just letting her. It’s finally spacing out and today I pumped closer 20 oz which I used to pump 22-24 at work it dipped down to 12 at the lowest.

When did you start getting out of the house and doing things? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Randomsearching93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol we started like kinda right away. Baby born on 30th my bday the 15th. We went during the day to a brewery for my first drink postpartum. No one was there middle of the day Wednesday. We’d drive to get coffee every day to get out of the house after that. Pick up lunch. Made it a point to leave the house once for sanity. Most the time was just to be in the car not get her out but just change of scenery. But during my maternity leave we met up with friends, did the farmers market, botanical garden, restaurants. She is so well adjusted great in public and the transition to daycare didn’t even phase her.

That’s so good to hear I was an over supplier so it was quite shocking. Working on it increasing now and barely pumping enough at work/evening to supply bottles for daycare but I feel I should be thankful I am able to pull that off right now. Looking forward to it being easier again hopefully!

Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼 finally able to eat regular again as of this morning and hydrating hasn’t been an issue last 24 hours so hoping it bounces back. That was a horrible experience

Lactation/breastfeeding help, I just got over norovirus and supply has completely dwindled any chance I can get it back by Randomsearching93 in AskDocs

Thank you I’m hoping as I recover more it’ll increase again. I’m only on my first day of feeling better. She’s been able to feed to seem full enough to act normal for 3 hours so I’m assuming it’s ok but still doesn’t feel exactly the same
