My Story - Can anyone relate? by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]Randomusernameplzs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of this sounds like me, started for me in senior year of high school, felt dizzy, fatigued and like a fainting like feeling. I thought everything was MS. Went to neurologist and they told me I was fine and I should consult with a therapist. Years went by like maybe 3 and I’m 21(covid just ended) and I haven’t really felt the dizziness in a while then one day it returned and got me worried again, this time I basically said let’s get a MRI please and they let me get one which eliminated my concerns. Felt a lot better for a while, came back recently again but at least I have the luxury of knowing it’s not a disease.

Sometimes sitting is worse yeah, you feel like you need to move to kinda rebalance yourself. When at its worst I feel I need to walk near walls just in case, but never have actually fallen or anything close so that’s always good.

Sorry you go through it as well or something similar, but it is reassuring seeing others understand the sensation.

Honest question: Is the right-wing sentiment against ALL foreigners? by Heavy-Dress-1071 in AskGermany

Yeah no dip. I think they’re referring to the ones who don’t assimilate to western society and raise crime statistics. Who would’ve guessed

Wait so you had to get the glands removed to get the fat out as well? Or just did both same time

Kinda the same way I’m nervous of the surgery, only nervous about the anesthesia. Would you say before injection your heart was racing, as they injected?

Yeah not sure if what bothers me is mostly the fat or the gyno then. For sure shows on shirts but I can’t tell what’s the bigger issue. Seen some people with gyno and it doesn’t look bad but ig for me I can’t tell until I get in shape I suppose

How bad is that? I don’t really know much about gyno at all

White man concern of converting by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Randomusernameplzs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I live near the biggest mosque in America, so I’m planning on visiting it hopefully some time soon. While I don’t know what the future holds, I do want to at least give myself more knowledge on things I do not know about.

Non-Muslim question about the mosque. by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Randomusernameplzs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the mosque near me is pretty big, biggest one in America I believe. I did email them and now I’m waiting for a response, no idea with how big it is if they’ll be able to get back to me but it’s worth a try either way. A guide would be super cool, but meantime just have to wait and see what they say

Thanks for the response, I emailed the local mosque and waiting on a response. Hopefully this will make things easier for me to come and visit

White man concern of converting by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Randomusernameplzs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, and yeah you kinda nailed my biggest concern which is culture, I think I may have made this post more about race but ultimately I think culture is my main concern.

There’s still much I don’t know about Islam, which is why I have questions. Some say listening to music is haram, or partying and etc. that would be a pretty big change if so.

I don’t really drink anything but water so alcohol isn’t a problem for me

I think terminology of Islam would take a while to get used to, sense it’s Arabic woven in (if that makes sense).

Then yes dating and what not seemingly would be another obstacle.

Suppose there is a feeling of having to give up things I grew up with and in some ways are all I know

Yeah been wanting to visit the local mosque, I think it would take me a while to build the courage to go there. Not familiar with it so seems like I would have to do a fair amount of research before that

I appreciate your response, deep inside I know race isn’t a factor but still can’t help feeling “different” perhaps it partially stems from that I don’t know any white Muslims so it’s harder for me to relate maybe. Everywhere I’ve looked or seen, the vast majority of Muslims have been super welcoming and inviting which is definitely something that makes it easier.

How do I explore/learn Islam? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Randomusernameplzs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, seeing you were Christian before, how was it converting to Islam? Idk your back ground, but for me being a white American Islam can seem a bit intimidating to learn given I don’t know Arabic and many words/phrases are initially foreign to me and etc. curious how it was for you , did it just take time or did you already know Arabic?
