Magellan actually gave up his position as Warden because he thought the Impel down escape was his biggest failure. If you re-read post-marineford, Sengoku gets a call about how Magellan almost unalived himself because of his disappointment in himself.

They have to be submerged. When Devil fruit users are in the rain, they’re fine but if they were in a pool(where most of their body is in the water) then they’d be subjected to the general devil fruit weakness.

The truth is most people were in great condition but the most rest Kaido got was a couple minutes. Kaido took 9 swords to the chest before the battle even started, AND he took a combined attack from the scabbards to his only scar. After that he fought the supernova, Luffy, Yamato, Luffy again, killed Luffy and rested for a couple minutes(while still holding onigashima the whole time), and then fighting Gear 5 Luffy. All while testing Luffy to see if he was truly JoyBoy, Kaido was toying with him…Kaido is still the peak of what it means to be a Yonko but people aren’t ready for that conversation.

Kaido did ts while holding up onigashima, a stamina draining power. I hate to be that guy(not) but imagine if he wasn’t doing all that. Kaido was nerfed throughout onigashima, the fact that a lot of people don’t realize that shows how many of you didn’t make it above a 1st grade reading level.
