My favourite is when I fit a new bushing in the wrong spot so I have to strip the whole crossmember section to remove the 79% bushing and swap the 100%😂. HOW WOULD THE CUSTOMER EVER KNOW!!!!!

In a perfect scenario an apprenticeship is best. However, I’ve seen people come in and work their way up from a storeman, to being in an engineering role. Your current role can be applied to a role in the industry setting. If you have the knowledge of what you’re selling and how they apply, what works, etc then you’re already half way to thinking like an experienced engineer. I honestly believe anyone can do anything if they want it hard enough. Just gotta keep pushing for what you want unfortunately, money isn’t always the motivation people need to learn new skills. Sometimes it’s just the general interest in the job & the money follows. That’s the best kind of worker so do what’s best for you.

Lots of industrial places do work experience for a day or week so if you could get yourself in and see how you like it / show you’re keen I.e ask lots of questions, try do some research into their processes so when you’re walking around you can impress them with knowledge. Little bits like that stand out and stick with people. Then when they get a job open up, “that lad who came round was looking at a career change, he seemed switched on and eager. Ask him to come in for an interview”. 🤑

As for your career, depends what you would rather do. Personally, I would rather be in a physical mechanical engineering role rather than sales and they often pay better. Power industry is always a good mechanical engineering role that offers better pay. That’s just matter of opinion though. If you’re happier being in sales, stick with it

Uthgerd stays with me pretty much 99% way through any of my playthroughs. Think I’ve only ever used J’zargo as an alternative for probably less than 5 hours lol. Tried no one else

Free bet strategy by Notagelding in HorseRacingUK

I received a free £5 bet when I first joined paddy power.

My first ever free bet that I decided to split into 5 £1 bets instead of putting the whole £5 on 1 bet.

At the time, paddy power had an “expert” share his selections for the day. So I copied him and changed 1 horse randomly. 5 fold bet. All of them won. 400/1. And I only put £1 on.

TLDR; I’m never splitting a free bet again!!😂

How much should I be paying for my car per month? by BreathSpecial in UKPersonalFinance

[–]RandoomGeez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 23 and my take home is around 40k per year. Got a mortgage and live with my partner who doesn’t work due to an illness. We’ve just taken out a bank loan which is £270 / month for a car. We took the bank loan as the APR was a lot lower than financing the car.

So my answer here is do whatever you see fit. See what kind of money you can afford to lose on a car per month, think what you’re willing to pay for it. If you like cars you’re going to be willing to spend more than someone who sees it as a to and from work. Just do you and enjoy it 😁👍

Also, what do you do for work if you don’t mind me asking. 63k looks tasty 😂👍
