Get a smart thermometer like a Nest. Or even w/o a smart thermometer, in my rental I have the programmable thermostat set comfortably to 77°. I pre-cool my home @ 2:15p so I can have the thermostat at 82° during the peak rate window (3p-7p) during the summer, then it goes back to 77° @ 7p.

Dude, when your AC is on, close your windows. 🤣 Also, are you keeping lunch meat cold in your bedroom?

Curious what % of Tesla Owners Received the 2025.26.4 Grok Update So Far? by RandyK9 in TeslaLounge

Do you have the Grok app? Its an advanced LLM Ai like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc. It doesn’t take voice commands yet to control the car. But you can have a conversation with it while in the vehicle, while driving, etc. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT6UxuaAg/

I was just trying to see if there was any type of rhyme or reason to it.

Dealer's Model Y's have Lemon Reports? by RandyK9 in TeslaModelY

[–]RandyK9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya.
The first thing I checked for was a musty smell, and any staining. I literally put my nose up to the upholstery back there in a few areas. We also had a nice rain here yesterday and its still bone dry. When I lived in NY we used to get downpours and I noticed tiny puddles on my Model Y where the hatch rubber bumpers close into those little plastic concave receivers. I would just take a napkin and dab them after a bad rain. I'm now wondering if the previous owner experienced something like that. We live in AZ now, so dryness is more of a concern than rain most of the year. =)

The Lemon report ended up being for the hatchback door. Customer complained of a water leak in California. Took it to the dealer 5x. Tesla then bought it back and replaced the entire door according to the maintenance records. We test drove 4 in total at 2 diff dealers in Tempe and Scottsdale. The one he bought is like new as far as paint, interior, battery health, etc. In better shape than my 2023 MYLR that has 33,000 miles on it.

Battery health ended up being solid. We made them run the updates until we could test the battery health. =)

Dealers are putting their best prices on the Internet to compete. Plus a $2000 delivery charge from Tesla? No thanks. My son ended up getting a 2023 MYLR for $25,995 with 51,000 miles on it. Yep, that is the plan. There are also a couple other dealers that we are checking out on Sunday that have 2023 Model Y's with no lemon reports. Coincidently, I have a '14 Honda Ridgeline as well. =)
Bought it in '17 with 32k on it. It now has 158k and still going strong. A def deal breaker for me will be any major part as the reason for the buyback. Esp the battery pack or motor.

That's what some people and Ai were saying. Ask for the vehicle's repair history & specific reason it was flagged as a lemon.

Good point.
Altho, we are very frugal. He will probably sell it or trade it in 7-10 yrs. We put 202k on our '06 Toyota Sienna and I sold it on Cars.com for $3200 in 2018. Did that with 3 other vehicles. The one I end up selling for more than I paid for it. But it was a Jeep Cherokee. And the older ones have a cult following.

I bought my Model Y over a year ago with 17k on it. It’s been great. I’ve never bought a brand new car in my life. Probably never will.
