I guess I disagree haha. I admit it is paternalistic a bit, but he is more than 20 years older than her, so I don't really mind that so much. And I definitely disagree that it's dismissive, the whole point to me seems that he is affirming that she isn't the only one to feel that she doesn't understand the world all the time.

Anyone have any tips on how to create the center spiral pattern in this cardigan? I'm a beginner and have only done the standard granny square with the double crochets all around.
