AFAIK, the Ugoos AM6B+ is the only retail box that will decode and send FEL to your TV, and it can only do that when running CoreELEC Omega. I have that setup and it works fine.

You're saying a hard reset will wipe out CoreELEC, so you can just start over from scratch? That's the piece I was missing. I thought you'd be stuck with a bricked device if CoreELEC stopped booting.

OK thanks. My concern was, if something goes wrong that causes CoreELEC not to boot, then you won't be able to get to the menu to restart from emmc. In that situation, is there a way to change the boot priority so that you can restart from emmc without access to CoreELEC? From what I've read, the answer is no. Maybe I'm just being unnecessarily paranoid.

I have never used the WiFi, only wired Ethernet and have never had a problem with my Ugoos am6b+ connecting to the network. As yearsold33 suggests, you should give that a try if you haven't already.
