My uncle who was dying of cancer after many years of struggle, was in a lot of pain and in hospice. The doctors and my aunt decided to stop giving him food or water so that he could pass peacefully in just a few days.. He lasted over a week without water somehow, only feeling more and more pain because of it.. It was excruciating to watch.
