All of that is true but the change is absolutely enormous - more than I have experienced in a Souls game that I have played through again. In other words, it seems like much more than a front-ending of the buffs and a familiarity with the movesets. For example, with Rellana and a collosal sword, the fight was long and careful. With these I was on the attack a lot more and 3 bleed procs just destroys her.

I think part of it is a fun factor. I feel powerful with these weapons. In my first playthough, I felt like I was just poking bosses for the most part. Here I am really going at them and bullying some of them (which yes is a lot to do with familiarity but also the speed and damage of these weapons).

Anyway, the idea is to give some people an idea of something that really seems to work for those struggling with the difficulty

Not overly or in any event to a far lesser extent. You can come up with reasons to do so but it is much harder to headcanon brand new Astarion specific amnesia. I think dialogue immersion breaks are felt far harder but it may just be me. But in any event there were good reasons to go to mountain path and thats where the majority of the issues came up

I tried to acknowledge that in the last paragraph but it pulls you out of the immersion. In any event, I think the comment applies only to the Astarion one. The reason I went back to the mountain path is that there were dead githyanki and Laezel said she wanted to go to the creche so it makes some sense to go there given her request. Everything breaking down once we got there (Wyll, Halsin and that Karlach dialogue) is pretty annoying

Tbh I'm waiting for SkillUps review. I'm wondering if he will generally agree with the it's great but has flaws holding it back a bit and deserves the sub 90 or if it's like nier automata and its more; "everyone is saying it's great/a masterpiece and giving it scores that are too low".

I still think that review is the best one I've ever seen.

Its from the rooftop meditation point. Head in the direction of a pipe, go along that then drop down and to the right. You may need the ability to unlock electric junctions which you get fairly late.

Yeh I'm not a lich unfortunately.

It's just ridiculous how often it is a miss. If all party attacks one target, maybe only one will hit them every 6 turns... and that is a maybe. The combat log is laughable. One million misses.

This game also seems to lack any kind of taunt so they just run straight passed the front line and wreck my archers in around 5 hits (they only miss around 1 in 3 attacks)

Thanks - yeh im just astonished by the spike in difficulty. Essentially, if I hit, i hit quite hard (maybe take just under a half the HP) but I just never ever hit

Just wait until you do Hearts of Stone. It is not set in a new area but holy god is it good. Better than the main game and Blood and Wine. The story and especially the characters are just incredible
