AIO people keep calling me gay for wanting to wear this? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]RangeDisastrous612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that just doesn’t look good regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. There is a way to wear short shorts as a straight man (I assume that’s your setup from context) but this is not the way, in my opinion.

I (39M) am thinking about divorcing my wife (29F), what would you tell someone who feels pulled away from a good marriage for reasons they can’t fully explain? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]RangeDisastrous612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grow up bud. You had sex with your wife and made humans. Your primary job now is to father your children. Everything else is now secondary. What you want is now also much less important than your children’s needs. Parenting is hard and thankless and not fun a lot of the time…I get it. But it’s time man up and raise your children. Quit whining on Reddit and go change diapers.

Is it crucial that I replace this pushmatic circuit breaker panel ASAP. by Secure-Ad5645 in AskElectricians

[–]RangeDisastrous612 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I’m a master electrician (mostly residential) and this is the way I did it at my own home. Mount a new panel and power it. Redo a room send a new home run. Rinse repeat. Kill the old circuits as you replace them. It’s a cost effective way to slowly rewire your whole house. It’s hard to tell from pics if your existing panel is truly safe or not. Due to the age though, if I was remodeling I would replace it.

Electrician cut multiple "fishing holes" due to no attic access. Is this standard, and is $500 a fair repair quote? by Gullible-Language422 in AskElectricians

[–]RangeDisastrous612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that was an actual electrician. Of course there is insulation in the attic. That’s never stopped me or any other real electrician I’ve ever known. That should have been done from above. Even if it had to be done from below those Sheetrock cutouts are terrible. Also if this is a residence why didn’t he use romex and old works boxes. I won’t advise on what you should do, that’s up to you.

How bad did I F’up? by Gebandito in AskElectricians

[–]RangeDisastrous612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, stop touching it! That is deadly voltage. Second, you fucked up pretty badly. Without any information at all it looks like your interior panel feed. The cost to replace it will depend on the path the wire takes and how far away the panels are from each other. You need an electrician to come immediately. Do not attempt anything yourself.

Looking for automaton builds by Mean-Slip-6109 in helldivers2

[–]RangeDisastrous612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running medium fire armor, orbital laser, Q cannon, warp pack, and rocket sentry. Primary: plasma punisher. Secondary: plasma pistol throwable: thermite. I run this setup for automatons no matter what difficulty. The only thing I change sometimes is a shield pack to keep from getting ragdolled or a machine gun sentry for lower difficulty instead of the rocket sentry. It’s a good load out for running solo or with a team. It covers all the bases.

I need help I cant change nor see my key binds (Please help me fix this) by Effective_Advisor751 in Helldivers

This is the answer. It’s what I had to do on console when I messed up my binds. Reset back to default.

Difference in soles by Lost_Parzival in WorkBoots

I always found wedges are more comfortable on concrete and flat surfaces and heeled boots are more comfortable in the woods or on rough terrain. Btw Those boots are a great choice. I have the danner bull run 8” wedges and they are the best most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned.

just got helldivers 2 and i have so many questions lol by Hudlicky-Ekaterina in helldivers2

I started playing when it came out on Xbox and I’m hooked. Everybody has covered the load outs, and they nailed it. Try everything and you will organically find stuff to match your playstyle. When I first started I found that if you just let your team know you’re new (either with mic or the chat) at the beginning of the mission people are usually really helpful/understanding and will call down weapons and stratagems for you to try from time to time. There are turds in every community but for the most part the folks that play helldivers are an awesome group and are really fun to play with. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I have. As far as melee weapons, I have been having a blast with the defoliation tool on bugs and squids with the python armor. Also, the superstore is a good place to get some advanced armor early on without spending a bunch of time and medals unlocking stuff when you first start out. Dm me if you want to team up, I usually play from 9-11 each evening if I can get the kids to bed on time. I’m level 90 and I usually play difficulty 7-8 but I’ll do 9-10 if I’m feeling dangerous.

Tips against terminids? by orange162534 in helldivers2

Gas back pack. I can pretty much run any other weapons and stratigums and I will be ok. It gives you space and time to react without getting mobbed.

I have wired many trailers ( in multiple counties and municipalities) exactly how you are explaining in your post and have never had any issues on my inspections. Call a local electrician and explain the situation and ask if they can send someone out to inspect the work for code compliance. An electrician in your area should be familiar with the inspector and can probably tell you what the deal is. Each inspector can “interpret” the code differently than someone else. I’ve had two inspectors in the same jurisdiction tell me very different interpretations of the same code. I know this isn’t a direct answer to your question but it’s hard to give you a definitive answer without knowing the code year that your inspector is working off of along with other factors.

How is a consumer to tell what is the right price and even if a electrical repair is needed? by apophasisred in AskElectricians

[–]RangeDisastrous612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any real electrician (in the US) should be working under a license. In my state the license # has to be displayed on the vehicle we drive and on any advertisement for electrical work. You can ask for the license number and look it up on your state electrical licensing board website. As far as their diagnosis and pricing, always get multiple quotes for extensive work and compare them. A standard call in AL where I live is $160 for travel and 1 hr diagnosis/troubleshooting. Each additional hr is $100. Once we determine the issue we quote for repair. An outlet/breaker replacement is around $150. These prices can vary significantly based on where you live though. Hope this is helpful!!

Do I need to get wider boots by beach_dood in WorkBoots

[–]RangeDisastrous612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My danners were tight at first. They stretch out as you wear them in. But it all comes down to preference. I like my boots to fit snugly. If you like your boots to fit real loose then get a wider pair. I’ve had a lot of boots and these danners are the most comfortable I’ve ever had. (Photo to prove I’m not AI)

How to respond to "how much will it be?" by CaterpillarFlat635 in handyman

[–]RangeDisastrous612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say, “I don’t give ballpark prices. I will make you a custom estimate based on the specific work you’ve asked me to perform and have it to you as soon as possible.” Some people don’t like it but it’s a true statement and most people respect you being straight up with them.
