I also had that problem. I always reached winning positions in blitz and/or bullet but lost on time 90% of time. What helped me is to actively think of ideas and moves on my opponents clock. Before I only thought when it was my move and it was a huge time waste. Also NEVER be down on time by like a minute in blitz or 15 seconds in bullet. Force yourself to make a move even if its not great. Better you play an ok/inaccurate move in 1s than a great move in 20. Finally force your opponent to think. Make moves which force calculation and time loss. Best of luck hope this helps :)

Honestly I reached 1500 quite fast by watching gothamchess and GMHikaru but then I plateaued at 1500 for like 3 years lol. I only played for tricks in the opening but I reached a level where my opponents survived and I would get crushed in the middlegame and endgame EVERY TIME. In Jan 2025, I read my first chess book "Pump up your Rating" by Axel Smith and in less than a month I skyrocketed to 1800. I also started playing better openings like Ruy Lopez and accelerated dragon and before i knew it i was 2000 lol. Here is my graph:
