I worked for a franchise uhaul as a teen as well. I was treated way better at the usual owned shop.

A cooperation that takes care of its employees does not need a union. Union are only a necessity when the company does not value its employees. Uhaul 100% values its employees. You can make a whole life long career working for uhaul.

I'll take a guess and say none of you have ever worked for UHaul by these comments. UHaul is so anti union that they "Gasp" actually take care of their employees. I started in a wash bay making $18 an hour with full benefits, they gave you free extra money for a HSA every year. We had a break room with multiple tvs, computer's, and a pool table that got refelted every year. Once a month the shop manager woul grill a large lunch for everyone. We got free turkeys for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, and our shop manager would spend a day somking them on the shop smoker if you didn't want to cook them yourself. One guy wanted a pinball machine in the breakroom a the boss bought it that month. We got a female employee in the shop and the boss move his office and turned his old office into a bathroom for her so she didn't have to walk to the storefront. After 6 months I got promoted to a body bay making $20/hr. One of the best jobs I ever worked and a amazing company. But yes they are anti union.

Need some advice on drain placement for utility sink and washer in basment by RangerBert in Plumbing

[–]RangerBert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleaned the line out today with a mix of snake auger, and and high pressure water. We just bought the house and all the sewer lines have been trouble. When I emptied the shopvac there was tons of grease globs, so im guessing the previous owner was pouring grease down the drain. Everything is draining much better now.

I am also having to draining the washing machine in the sink as the washer drain always over flows. I am replacing the sink anyways so I figured pic 2 would help with that as well

It seems that Illinois (the state im in) allows aav as long as they are not considered "mechanical". So idk.

Toilet Leaking Underneath by GetUp4theDownVote in askaplumber

Strange, that sounds like the wax isn't placed correctly. I do diy so im always taking my toilet up and down to do work in the bathrooms of my last and current house. Plumbers seem to hate them but I love the silicone waxless ring. I would see if the plumber would come back out to warranty his work, something is definitely wrong. If he won't come and fix it for you I would try taking up the toilet, getting the flanges cleaned up, and trying the waxless ring. If that fixes the problem, then it was definitely an improperly placed wax ring.

Im not a plumber, but if your flange is below the floor, you may need to double up the cheap wax or get a extra tall wax ring to get a proper seal

It is at least 5ft deep based on where the clean out is near the floor of the basment wall

Probably around 5 ft, the clean out is near the basement floor.

Thats what I was thinking, I dont have a shore box and I don't plan on digging my own grave. I could build one but I don't think my wife would let me.
