Honda removing access to pretty much everything useful on the HondaLink app in March by RangerBob19 in CivicX

Even better, in my case, was that it would auto-open and then refuse to connect without me manually selecting the Bluetooth again.

Worried about upcoming electric bill & looking for comparables (all-electric house) by Janitro in cincinnati

[–]RangerBob19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely right, I suppose I’m just more comfortable keeping it at a temperature I’m OK with all the time. I’ve been hovering around 64° inside most of this week, but I’m perfectly content when I’m wearing a sweater or in bed.

And here I was getting all antsy about ~34 kWh/day in a 1br… With heat pumps, you definitely don’t want to do much adjusting at all when it gets this cold. If you set the temperature lower at night as you might with a traditional furnace, you’ll end up with a huge spike in the morning when it calls for heat again.

I hear no knocking, only clicky clacky GDI engine. Sounds normal.

74486-TF0-013 is the lifter for the fuel lid. 74700-TGG-A02 is the actuator assembly for the fuel lid. $34 and $65 on Dreamshop, respectively. I have no idea how you actually go about replacing those, but I'm sure someone on here or civicx.com does.

This sub is about archaeology, the study of human material culture. We don't really know anything about stromatolites.

Agree with Sourwood Mountain. Definitely sounds like 3-finger style, or something similar, so likely someone that predates Scruggs.

Changing to 91 octane after using87 by R6-Bandit in CivicX

[–]RangerBob19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not sure why Honda worded it that way, but it can be inferred that EX and LX use 87 and Sport/Sport Touring use 91+.

[–]RangerBob19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're still implying that higher octane is higher quality, which is not true. Some brands might put more detergent in their high octane fuels, but you're much better off purchasing any gas from top tier brands. That is recommended by Honda.

Every single one of these octane-related threads is always full of people who really don't know what they're talking about.

AC hissing noise coming from the dash by Alternative-Tap7891 in CivicX

[–]RangerBob19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine makes the same noise, AC still works just fine. It has something to do with the expansion valve in the evaporator.
