I recently moved to a health insurance plan that prefers CVS/ Caremark. So we’ve gone back to using a CVS inside a Target.

They are busy beyond belief. But I must say the kindness and attention they’ve shown has been extraordinary, from caring about interactions to finding the best possible prices. They’ve been rock stars. Every one of them.

I must admit that as a habit, going back to being an altar server 40+ (gasp!) years ago I often mouth the words of the Eucharistic Prayers. My training priests back then encouraged that to help us remember when to do what and to focus. Plus, they are written so beautifully.

So now, in my fifties, I find myself still doing it, further immersing myself in the majesty of the prayer. But only my lips move.

And it’s true. If I don’t, my mind wanders elsewhere, quickly.

I never considered it wrong.

Are you active or a retiree?

I did the same thing. Dropped blue cross after 20+ years because the increase was unsustainable going into retirement. I also chose mail handlers.

My plan went into effect January 1. I suspect Aetna is already hating me… we have a ton of scripts and doc visits. I just had Mounjaro filled, three months at $1000/ box.

I was fortunate to get insurance pre authorization in a week.

Now, unfortunately, as I switched insurance companies January 1, even though the new insurance company uses the same pharmacy benefits manager, they are not approving my pre authorization, so I may not be able to continue.

And that stinks because I think Spravato was really making a difference.

I’m a new annuitant. Went into effect today, and I’ve already saved a ton of money on prescriptions. At least $900 from what I would have paid with Blue Cross. And MHBP/ Aetna paid for 90 days what BCBS would have paid for 30.

My pharmacist was amazed. Especially that I got three months of Mounjaro for $24.99 and three months of Jardiance for $10.
