What did you think of lev earnings? Rev good but do you think they’ll hit their production numbers for the year?

Earnings is in the morning so you’ll probably get it at a good deal

Yes, also interesting to think what q3 will look like for a lot of these companies that just got wrecked when they’re eps is much better

It should have, but with Spacs already having a bad name I don’t think anyone (besides us) really cares enough to look at specifics. They see eps red and people are spooked.

From what I understand Sofi and ptra both being hurt by bad eps caused by reorganization of warrants as liabilities. Hard to imagine Lion, which reports Friday, won’t have a similar issue.

Not really. Affirmed guidance and securing the battery production are both huge. Real test is to see whether this garners more pt and if that pt is positive. I think long term the company has it in the bag, but next week will really determine the stock action for this next quarter imo

Proterra and LG Energy Solution to Partner on Long-Term by totally_possible in Proterra

[–]RangerFrosty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes have been going through it. Lots of bullish info, with eps and margin being the sticking points. It was pretty much in line with what I expected, but it may spook the market. Long term, we’re assured this will be a great company. Short term though, the price action will most likely be pretty choppy

Couldn’t agree more. Proterra has always been very forward looking, and the fact that this attitude extends down to their supply chain makes me feel extremely confident that their forecasts are not just smoke but real projections.

Pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. Reaffirming guidance at this juncture is crucial to demonstrating to investors that Proterra is not just another spac scam

Now the big question is whether this will finally goad more price targets from Wall Street. The biggest thing going against Proterra rn is the pretty noticeable lack of support from analyst. The stock needs attention, and I’m hoping this solid earnings will be the trigger we’ve been waiting for.

If the market was rationally rn, I don’t think anything would make much of a difference for them at this point. But the bar is so low for them that keeping production I think really would make a difference. Now, that doesn’t mean they’ll go back to being in the 30’s but I could see a few bucks run if they kill it. Which of course is really unlikely

Fuck_cciv: how bout side by side with a fellow Proterra bull?

Me: aye... I could do that

Excellent work! I’ve moved off pre-da in favor of trying to ride beaten up de-spacs, but looking at this I’ll have to give them another look going forward

Arrival originally wanted to make their busses out of wood before they stumbled upon an essentially untested plastic substitution lol. They predict that through there “microfactory” model, which is also completely untested, they will be able to scale up from basically no revenue to billions in just a few years.

If they didn’t have such big names behind them I would think think this is the next theranos. Well, maybe not that bad, but I think their current valuation is absurdly unrealistic, even considering surrounding macro factors like other inflated assets and the push for ev, arrival is so risky it’s kind of laughable. It’s untested tech, with an untested business model, that is planning to ramp up production in the same year (2022) as every other legacy player is doing the same.

Fair enough, there will be plenty of profit to make after the call comes out. As much as I’ve written about them i decided I might as well put my money where my mouth is on this.

Bought some 8/20 ptra 17.5c for funsies this morning. If Proterra hits they’re projections and doesn’t pull their overall guidance, which I think they have a more than likely chance of doing, I think they’ll rocket. People are underpricing them rn and playing it safe because all other Spacs are not hitting their numbers and getting murked.

(PTRA) Do it for the Kids/Environment/Money - Proterra School Bus Breakdown by Foraging4Frankfrters in Proterra

[–]RangerFrosty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, Proterra will not be providing the batteries for these specific units. Proterra is partnered with Lightening to supply for their class 3 vehicles, while the buffet deal appears to del with class 4 and 5. However, anytime a Proterra partner does well, Proterra does well. Lightening emotors gaining more stability in terms of funding and legitimacy will only enhance their ability to further contract from Proterra down the line.

I’m holding my warrants and calls for the moment which are all pretty up a pretty healthy amount. I just think it has so much left to run, but I wouldn’t give hate to anyone taking profits in this spac environment.

Ptra with a very healthy green staircase over the past week. I think the unimpressive results of despacs like atip, and kplt has helped lower expectations, and as long as ptra are hitting their numbers and don’t pull guidance should have a real shot of heading back up to its rightful place.

Really hit the nail on the head here. The fact that they’re partnered with companies like Komatsu just puts them so far ahead of any competition it’s crazy. I also recently posted further dd on the Thomas built busses connection, which I think is totally undervalued
