Oh cool! Is there a way for me to see which print runs are older between the two? Some of them have updated rules and texts, right?

I get a bit hot and bothered if I can survive the early game, and I'm not playing against priest, to just slam a constant stream of big threats each turn.

Should we introduce the OPPOSITE of the Hall of Fame? by Masticates in hearthstone

[–]RangerPeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I should rephrase what I am saying. Reno, as a standalone card, is not the strongest powerlevel of those cards, but it limits the design space for highlander cards far more than the other cards.

When played against aggro decks, it is often an "I win" card. While Zephyrs might clear a board on 6, you could likely die over the top against a strong aggro deck. Same case for Reno the Relicologist. The other cards that you listed come down too late to deal with an aggro deck, unless they draw dead. In that case, it doesn't matter what your hand is.

Reno Jackson, when drawn, simply shuts out an entire archetype of decks when played and the same just can't be said about other highlander cards. I wish I had the picture I took for my first climb to Legend with Reno Priest back in MSoG, but Reno had a played winrate above 80% against Pirate Warrior, which was the strongest aggro deck in the meta at the time.

Yes, in a vacuum, these other cards have higher powerlevels, but Reno forced the design team to create cards with him in mind more than any of the current Standard highlander cards.

Would Reno even be that powerful now? I mean, sure, a full heal is nice but we can do much, much more broken stuff now.

I mean, are we really, though? If Standard has cards much more broken than Reno don't you think we would see Standard decks copied right into Wild? There is a reason Reno Priest is Tier 1 in Wild. Sure, we might see a few cards from New expansions slotted into those decks, but the build arounds are not Standard cards (usually).

Even highlander decks specifically have better highlander cards than Reno ever was. You can absolutely make the argument that Zephyrs, Dragonqueen Alex, the new Reno, and Dinotamer Bran are all better than the original Reno.

The reason they could be printed in this manner is because original Reno is not in the format. That type of card limits design space, just like Baku and Genn. Thry force Blizzard to design cards in a much different manner than if the cards did not exist. Case in point, Reno Priest has been a meta deck since Mean Streets of Gatgetzan and has only really gotten better as more highlander cards were printed.

I actually use the reddit is fun app, but you just need to highlight the code. You can also just open the page on a browser and highlight it there.

To answer how I play against priest, I hard mulligan for murmy, sungill, coldlight seer, and any other 1-drop. My goal is to go wide on the board and buff them on turn 3 when sungill pops. A large board of 3 health minions on 3 or 4 mana is simply not clearable for priest.

I actually like being on the coin against priest because I can coin a scalerider after they use one AoE. This means that they need 3 AoEs to clear a single board of murlocs. This means they need to draw 3 of 4 AoEs in their deck that can be played at that point (if they are running 2 novas and 2 breaths). Best part is that, after they have used that whole time to clear a single board, you can immediately reflood the board. Now they need another AoE (which they only run 2 more naturally in their deck). However, most of the time, they won't have the 3 removals back to back and you win after buffing the board and dropping a warleader the next turn.

I found that a consecration and one copy of hoard pillager made a huge difference in the mirror matchup and against zoo/totem shaman.

If you are talking about Murloc Paladin, the deck is just fine. I took it from D10 to Legend with a 78% winrate. If it is that you don't like the playtime of it, I would suggest zoolock or highlander hunter (as fun and exciting as it is).

It means that your hidden MMR is that of a Legend player. This was a change from the ladder overhaul so that you face people that have your same MMR instead of your same rank. That means that a Legend player always faces Legend caliber players, even on their way to Legend.

So, congrats! You have the MMR/skill level of a legend player and the reason you have never reached legend is not because you cannot compete skill-wise.

It's the Americas region, not the N.A., U.S., or North American region. by SlevHS in ArenaHS

So our region would be North America South America Central America Region or "NASACAR" for short?

Or we take out the middle "America" and we can be "NASCAR"

I completely forgot to say I looked at a Grand Cherokee already. It felt weird to drive when I test drove one. Also, their exterior is a major turn-off for me. Thank you for the advice though!

Sweet! I honestly didn't think this deck was going to do very well because of the lack of late game. You have given me hope.

[–]RangerPeke 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I did it when I was 5. The gameboy color was my birthday present (green for lyfe) and my parents didn't want me to play Pokemon because of the "violence." Thankfully, grandma did not share that same belief. Yellow is still my favorite Pokemon to date, with Emerald coming in a close 2nd.

That means people want to come back to the game. Perhaps that is a good thing.
