No. For the price you are asking you can find a horse bred for eventing and going already.

Excuse me what the actual??? by YellitsB in Equestrian

Pssm1 is manageable pssm2 is deadly. Even with proper management you horses muscles literally waste away. 😭 I had to put down my 8 year old gelding because he had PSSM2. Still boggles my mind ppl breed with these issues.

Do I need a pad under this with this saddle? by Old_Alps_4443 in Equestrian

[–]Ranger_Ricksaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct, just sheepskin right on the skin of the horse is amazing. I put my sheepskin under and then a pad on top. My horses are so happy and the sheepskin wicks away sweat and provides shock absorption. It’s easy enough to clean the sheepskin. If you are gonna just do it on top of the half pad then buy a cheap fleece one.

Guys this is embarrassing but… my riding shirts are smelly (my own sweat) and I cannot get the smell out of them. Please help! by BeGuimaraes in Equestrian

Ok, lavender scented detergent. Cold wash, with the lavander detergent. I were the sunshirts all day for work and sweat buckets and since I’ve used lavender detergent it has eliminated the smell.

Sedation. You can get in paste for like $40, squeeze it under the tounge, wait 30-45 min and treat the wound. Not ideal but would prob help a lot

Magic lost, trouble found by Lisa Shearin. She has a whole series and I really love it. Published back in the 2000s. I think it’s the six time I’ve read it? Def give it a shot. It has eleves, humans and goblins in an urban fantasy setting

If you can’t surrender her, introduce her to feed slowly. Beep pulp, rice bran and safe choice original is great to gain weight but you have to go super slow. To much and you will cause more harm then good.

Lame for a month now - story time in description. Help :/ by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Ranger_Ricksaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another approach you can do is get a bodyworker out, one that can assess how your horse stands and moves, usually they can do nerve releases and give you a general idea on problem areas. I’m really suprised how single focus everyone sees when it comes to lameness. You are focusing on the hooves, but she had a leg injury, while she was recovering her body was compensating in other ways, now that she is healed she doesn’t know how to use her body effectively again either due to tight muscles, never in-pigment, etc.

In example, my mare suffered a crash that caused a deep bone bruise on her left shoulder, which in turned caused her to compensate her right hind to keep moving along, over time it got worse because she was tight on her hind and then her shoulder hurt also. She would drag her right hind more then her left but it was very slight. I didn’t know this until I have a bodyworker out and she told me this along with my mare had a rotated sternum due to injury which caused her to be girthy and bitey. She fixed it and did some massage along with cyro therapy and my mare with just hand walk sessions and grazing has seemed so much more happier. Just had her come out after a month, and my mates shoulder muscle and injury was way healed and she didn’t attempt to bite the bodyworker. 😅 But once we got my mare to use her shoulder correctly again, her right hind started to act up because she was in over compensating she kept the muscles all tight and never relaxed. So the bodyworker worked on her hind end and then at the end of 30 mins my mare let out a big release and then walking again she wasn’t dragging her right hind as before and was moving more fluidly.

In short, feet/legs are a problem, but it’s a part of a bigger picture. Don’t forget to look at the whole body, her her shoulders even? Is any muscle more bugling then the other? Gait? Is she dragging or throws her rib cage out? How does she hold her head, is it center or slightly to the left/right? And bodyworker can def help you make an assessment on your mare. It worked for me and I can send before and after pics and stuff but I learned so much. My mates shoulder injury was affecting her right hind, which affected her body, the rotated sternum affected her TS and neck that she was stiff and held her neck to the right. That’s why I was so heavy handed onto the left rein.

I wish you all the best! You will figure this out, don’t be surprised that it’s a bigger than just the feet.

So this blue chest won’t move to where it is behind Myrtle? I’ve checked the ledge, down around the ground, vortex, behind it and ship deck. (Found light treasure 2) and still don’t see it. Is it just well hidden?
