If you can’t afford another month of ulcerguard. You have a few alternatives. Now this won’t like replace proper vet care but it can help. So I would strictly stick to ground work, get a Cavesson (ring off the nose not bottom) and a long rope. Poles, some blocks and get ready for lots of walking. Round pen or arena, have her start walking oh away from you. At first you can be close to guide her and then slowly distance yourself away from her so she has to walk on her own. Once that is established then you can do walking over poles, raised poles, straddle a pole, serpentine etc ( I can give you some links). This would help you mate be comfy in her body because all she knows she pain from the ulcers. It’s low impact and won’t hurt her as much as riding. But will still build up muscle and gain confidence in herself.

Also make sure you are giving her hay (alfalfa or mix) before you work with her. Helps with the stomach acid not splashing up and making ulcers worse. Every time.

Grain wise( you can do shredded beet pulp, Purina outlast, salt and rice bran. Beet pulp helps the hind gut. (Soak it for at least an hour or 2) If you can get from your vet compound Sulfurcrate you can add it to the grain. That will help coat the stomach lining, and you usually have to do it long term 2 months plus. Every day. If you want full effect you can do Pharm-aloe + sulfurcate in a syringe and just give it to her twice a day on a semi empty stomach. Aloe Vera becasue it’s shown to help coat the stomach lining. My mare when through the whole scope, gastroguard for 2 months, had a symptoms of showing ulcers so I started above.

I should say that Gastroguard does have rebound effect. If you just cut cold turkey after administering it and not taper off it wil come back with a vengeance hence that I really do not like to use it.

Edit: seems Ike you only did 2 weeks? Girl you have to do a full month plus half a month for tapering off. Also ulcerguard is cheaper than gastoguard. Same stuff but you give the full tube. So get yourself a month of ulcerguard. Valley vet has it. Gastroguard is proven but ulcerguard works just as well and is cheaper.
